We went there for dinner. I absolutely loved the cold buffet, which had a nice mix of good cheeses and seafood -- even a tuna poke that was the "chef's choice" item that day. The entrees and especially the desserts were really disappointing -- "just okay," but they were pale, bland imitations of the Scandinavian dishes they were supposed to represent. I'm not a food snob, but Scandinavia is the one international destination I've visited multiple times, and the food there is so much better than what Akershus served.
That being said, if you don't enjoy cold fish/cheese/salads and aren't into Swedish meatballs and such, you might prefer breakfast. I CAN say that the character interaction we had at Akershus was the most enjoyable, and least rushed (it was still really efficient - I think we were in and out in just over an hour -- but the tone was relaxed and the princesses were unhurried, due to a healthy princess-to-guest ratio), of any character meal we've ever had.
(For the record, the day we were there, we met Belle w/ballgown for the photo at the beginning, then Ariel w/legs, Aurora, Snow White, and Jasmine w/belly button - I believe it was just before the modesty police redesigned her costume.)
