Which is best??

I am going to WDW Jan 19-24 and am kind of on a budget. I still want to eat at a couple of nice places though. I was wondering which of these three resturants are the best: Ohana, Chef Mickey's, or Boma? Or if there are any other places on property that are even better please comment.

I am not sure if it still is but if you want to do a character breakfast. One of the best values is Hollywood and Vine at MGM. Of the ones I looked at it was the least expensive character breakfast. However, this was over a year now that I was there so I am not sure if it is still one of the best values on character breakfast.

Better as in saving money? Or better food?

Mostly which has the best food. I know they are all fairly pricey I was just wondering which has the best overall food for the price?

I would recommend Wolfgang Puck's sit-down restaraunt in Downtown Disney West Side or Jiko's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Both are a little pricy... but offer excellent cuisine and atmosphere and it's worth every penny!

There is no longer a character meal at Hollywood & Vine. Are you talking dinner? Breakfast at Boma is wonderful! The kids loved Chef Mickeys breakfast & Dinner but dh wasnt impressed with dinner at all. Unfortunately, we havent had dinner at Ohana's or Boma so Im not much help.

We have been to all 3 with our 3 ds. Do you have kids and what atmosphere are y ou looking for? Boma is very adventurous eating with lots of different tastes and spices. Our ds really did not like much on the buffet so it was kind of a waste of money for that. You can also go to the animal public viewing area and check out the lodge and the cool gift shop if you are there. Our waiter was slow, very slow. It did not help when the ds wanted drinks for their "spicy foods". Ohana is fun. The entertainment for kids is hula hoop and coconut races (push with broom). You might be able to time a reservation so you can also see wishes during dinner or after a dinner from the beach etc. The food is all you can eat. Alot of meat, a good deal for the atkins people out there. The shrimp is a little spiced. I like the beef cooked a little more. The appetizers and desserts are great. OK we stay at the Poly alot and our ds know the cast members very well, the singers even let them sing once to some couples lol. I am glad it wasnt too crowded, DS even got to help with the gummy worm handouts for the kids once. Little did we know he was destined for this as he is now a childrens party host and bowling coach. My personal favorite is chef mickeys. OK I have now even got dh to like napkin twirling. The prime rib on the buffet is good and our ds like the ice cream topping bar and desserts. I didnt try it but I saw they even had mickey shaped pasta. Somehow we always end up being seated right by the kitchen door. A little noisey but its o.k. They take a family photo. I am refusing to get that done next time since they wouldnt let us buy just one wallet sized magnet last time. But its a nice keepsake if you want it but pricey. Beware, ids and noise are everywhere and if you consider any of these places I would strongly suggest you make a priority seating or you might be disappointed. Good luck deciding.
