I have stayed in all of them except CS and I like FQ the best. The theming of the french quarter was really cool and It was really quite with everything just a short walk away. Pool was average but nice. RS is really nice just a little spread out. Stayed in the Princess rooms so my 4 year olds loved it. Did not use the pool since it was cold. CB was really spread out and long walks everywhere. Not a big deal if it is just my wife and I but with my twins it can be a pain. The rooms at CB were just refurbished when we went so that was good. Best pool of the mod's that we have stayed in.

I love CSR, especially the business class rooms with access to the lounge. CSR also has a spa, salon, fitness center and very good non-shared transportation. The main pool is one of the best on property with a playground for young ones.

We have stayed at all 4 mods, and we love POR with POFQ being a close second. We love the grounds at Riverside, the food court there is our favorite out of all of the values and moderates. We love the boats to Disney Springs - it is a nice relaxing 15 minute ride. It is one of those resorts where I really feel like I am in the Disney Bubble... I didn't get that feeling at CBR or CSR. We love the rooms at POR, especially the royal rooms. The pools are also great.

POFQ is great for its small size. No matter where your room is, you are short walk to everything- pool, bus stop and main building.

We have stayed at all except CS. I would rank the other 3 as POFQ, POR, CB. I really like the smaller size of FQ. It's great to not have a long walk to your room after a long day at the parks. One bus stop right outside the front door is nice also.

Another vote for French Quarter. Stayed there for the first time in July of 2015...went back Jan of 2016 and will be staying there again in 22 days. It immediately became my fave mod the second we walked in the door! The themeing(sp?) and decor...the small size...the unique cajun foods that are available...and the pool area was just re-done to include a kids splash zone...there's the option to take a boat to Disney Springs instead of the bus...there is also the option to visit it's sister resort, Riverside by boat or walking trail and use their pool as well..my favorite thing would have to be how tiny it is. It is the smallest of all the moderate resorts. We once had a room(5201) with a pool view which meant the pool was a 12 second walk...the food court was a 30 second walk and the one and only bus stop was maybe a minute walk from our room. Having one bus stop is great especially when coming bacK after a longggggg day at the parks...its nice not to have to ride around the resort for 15 minutes dropping everyone else off...altho SOMETIMES buses will be shared with Riverside.Sooo yeah...FQ all the way lol

Let me add that I have also stayed at Riverside...Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs...all nice places...but Riverside would be my least favorite...so my ranking would be...
1.FQ
2.CBR
3.CS
4.POR

POFQ for my family. We love the small size of it, the theme, the proximity/boat ride to Disney Springs, the beignets in the food court, walking around the grounds, the pool, just all of it!

The "best" for you comes down to what you want out of a resort. Base your decision on the comments here, rather than which one someone else ranks as their favourite.

Coronado has the convention centre and with it slightly better amenities. Both Port Orleans resorts have boat service to Disney Springs. Carribean Beach has more bus stops than the others.

Some people like French Quarter because it is smaller. I loved walking the grounds at Coronado. I didn't mind a longer walk to the food court.

They're all nice and you really can't go wrong.

I would say POR or FQ ,depends on if you are a "city" person or a "country" person, FQ for a city person and Riverside for a country person. Then if you are a country person and you like rustic you can stay on the Bayou in a "cabin" but if you prefer fancy you can stay in a"mansion"

We've stayed at CBR and CSR and both are excellent choices.
The walk to Old Port Royale was just as far as the walk to El Centro from our rooms.
I prefer the CSR main pool, kids play area, eating choices, and the scenery.
We're booked at CSR again this Spring. :)

we did CBR and riverside....the latter seems to be the fan favorite across this site by far but i really preferred Caribbean beach for the thematics. but both are so alike else wise. (multiple bus stops) (roughly same quality pools ect) granted CBR has had a newer refresh so zero entry pool and water spash kids play area. Coronado has a FEW extra amenitys due to it being a convention resort. (like somewhat real room service) but i do believe the price is slightly higher than the others for Coronado

hope that helps..

1. Coronado Springs - the rooms are just nicer
2. Port Orleans Riverside
3. French Quarter - no table service restaurant

Would never stay at Caribean Beach for many reasons. I would choose any of the values over that place. It has never appealed to me in any way.

Keep in mind Coronado has a slight cost premium over the others

True. For that reason it's not always that great of a deal and it can get very busy when there is a convention. During a convention breakfast can be a madhouse, not always but I've seen it pretty packed on more than one occasion.
