Hi all,
I currently have a Sony HDC camcorder that records to tape. Love the camera but the hardware is slowly dying after a few years of (ab)use.
So I've been looking at upgrading to a new camera and making the jump to digital media. I've kinda settled on the Canon Vixia HF M50. Decent all around camera that fits my budget.
Now, one of the things the M50 offers is recording in 24P for that 24fps cinematic look. And honestly that's about the bulk of what I know with of 24p on these camcorders. Coming from filming on tape I've never had to deal with picking a format to film in.
So I'm curious to hear if anyone has done vacation filming in 24p. Did you like the results? how did it compare to the regular 30p/60p format. Or just any other information/tips/etc... about picking which format to go with for a vacation video.
Once I get the camera I'll do some testing but would like to if others had experience with it.
I've had this HD camcorder for a few years but I feel like a totally newb coming into the digital media stuff now, heh.
Thanks!
