Which films aren't represented enough at WDW?

How much princesses can a park have? I believe it's about time Disney gives princesses a break and start showing other characters. So many great movies go unnoticed while very so-so movies are given a great amount of attention. I'm looking at you, Princess and The Frog.

ANYTHING CLASSIC. The list is endless. I'm always sooo disappointed that Disney doesnt think enough about the great films of the past, the hard work, the great talents that went into making them what they are, to give them some little prominence it the parks. At least throw up some posters, billboards, sell the dvds, put out some merchandise. Something, anything, just dont ignore that they even existed. Give the imagineers a small corner of DHS to create a classis Disney site. Theres enough empty buildings, areas that could be developed. Even the One Mans Dream attraction isnt all that it could be or deserves. How sad and disappointing. Guess its because those who make the decisions, didnt ever have a hand in creating anything.

Jungle Book and Robin Hood. Maybe it's the bear. Little John and Baloo are pretty similar. Both voiced by Phil Harris who also voiced O'Malley in Aristocats.. I think I liked Robin Hood so much as a kid because of the voice actors. I love Roger Miller. I walked around singing "Not in Nottingham" all the time as a little guy. Slim Pickens, Andy Divine, Pat Buttram and George Lindsey were great as well. I grew up knowing them from other roles and it created a familiarity for me. I was born in '81 but I watched a lot of reruns and old cowboy movies with my dad.

Aladdin. When adjusting for inflation, it's a Top 10 grossing Disney animated movie (more than all the princess movies other than Snow White and Sleeping Beauty) yet all he has is a goofy little carpet ride that is so generic you could find it anywhere? Ridiculous!

Which classic Disney films do you think aren't recognised by imagineers, and deserve more attractions/rides etc themed around them?

For me, I think Lion King and One Hundred and One Dalmatians are incredibly underused at Disney parks.

Totally agree with you about Lion King. A land based on THAT movie should be built at AK, not stupid Avatar.

Another badly-underutilized film is Mary Poppins. You'd think it never happened, the way TDO treats it. It won all of those Oscars and was a huge hit...but practically nada exists in the parks about it. What a shame.

When I went to WDW there was a 'London float' with Mary Poppins and Peter Pan, but there was no sign of her anywhere else. I think a Mary Poppins ride would go well in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot.

My two biggest that I can think of are The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. I know Monsters Inc. has The Laugh Floor but other than that it's like these movies don't exist in the parks and I think there is a lot of potential for them.

Yes! Exactly! I grew up with these films and
would always wish for an attraction/ride
built around them.

I'm going a little off the wall here, but
"The Black Hole" was such a dark film (for
Disney) and I always believed it'd make a great dark/thrill ride sort if thing.

She comes out for meet and greets at Main Street USA (off to the side outside of Goofy's Candy Company) and at the UK pavilion, near where you sign up for Phineus and Ferb. She has also been spotted at 1900 Park Fare.

She also has a whole themed section in the Great Movie Ride.

All that being said, I do agree that she is underutilized!

I think a ride similar to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, but through the Monsters, Inc. door chase scene would be incredible.

Mickey Mouse is of course the icon and ubiquitous. However when you consider the variety of his cartoons and comic book adventures as a detective he is actually underutilized. Not a ride. One show, I think.
