Which classic Disney films do you think aren't recognised by imagineers, and deserve more attractions/rides etc themed around them?
For me, I think Lion King and One Hundred and One Dalmatians are incredibly underused at Disney parks.
Totally agree with you about Lion King. A land based on THAT movie should be built at AK, not stupid Avatar.
Another badly-underutilized film is Mary Poppins. You'd think it never happened, the way TDO treats it. It won all of those Oscars and was a huge hit...but practically nada exists in the parks about it. What a shame.
Something Wicked This Way Comes
Watcher in The Woods
The Apple Dumpling Gang
Darby O'Gill & The Little People
The Happiest Millionaire
Bedknobs & Broomsticks
Escape From Witch Mountain
The Rocketeer

She comes out for meet and greets at Main Street USA (off to the side outside of Goofy's Candy Company) and at the UK pavilion, near where you sign up for Phineus and Ferb. She has also been spotted at 1900 Park Fare. When I went to WDW there was a 'London float' with Mary Poppins and Peter Pan, but there was no sign of her anywhere else. I think a Mary Poppins ride would go well in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot.
I'm going a little off the wall here, but
"The Black Hole" was such a dark film (for
Disney) and I always believed it'd make a great dark/thrill ride sort if thing.
My two biggest that I can think of are The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. I know Monsters Inc. has The Laugh Floor but other than that it's like these movies don't exist in the parks and I think there is a lot of potential for them.
