Uhhhh. Tough question!

I'd say no resort NEEDS a park. Sure, it'd be welcome- but it's only wanted, not needed.

I second that opinion. If they were to expand and use all of their availible space in their current parks - and they still need more space to meet the demand - then I say they should add a new park. It would be a waste to add a new park right now when they could use the money to expand their current offerings.

No new parks for a while. California is fixing and adding to DCA which is needed before a new park. Florida needs to fix, update and add to the existing parks before a new park. Also figure out what to do with the PI disaster. Paris needs to add to the Studios before a new park. Hong Kong has to finish the three new lands according to the oricinal plans before they think of building a park. Tokyo could add a bit to both, but not sure about room.

It'd be a disaster if WDW got a new park within the next 5 years or so IMO. Although I know thats pretty much impossible in that time span, and it it just ain't gonna happen anytime soon, but can you imagine 5 parks and disney trying to equally show love to all 5 parks?? They can barely manage upkeep with 4, adding another before the others are spruced up would be terrible.

I second the "none of the above" answer. Fix what you have, update it or add to that. The parks we have now need some TLC.

I voted for Hong Kong Disneyland because it has only one park. But, that park has a lack of attractions. There are only 16 attractions.

I'd agree that the company would be well advised to invest capital to "complete" the current parks or adding to them in new and exciting ways. I mean if they really pulled out the cash truck and went all in, it could rival having a new park.

Imagine a FLE in all the parks at the same time. Imagine having FLE going on with the mystic beast/journey into the center of the park at AK that ppl talk about with carsland at DHS and finally a couple of new countries in WS (with rides!!! or at least adding a rollercoaster to japan- my personal fantasy) along with making use of all empty pavilions in FW. We would all collectively pass out and it would cement our disney addiction for the rest of our lives (not that it wasnt heading that way already). Although that would be unprecedented and would be costly, it would have to be cheaper than opening a 5th gate.

However, with disneys acquisition of Marvel, i think the time is right for a full discussion of my original idea for Disney World X (X for Extreme). X World has emphasis on thrill rides. Slightly less "family friendly" then the regular parks, the theming possibilities and imagineering playgrounds that could be created are the real draw. A marvel land (done right), a villains land (disney-centric), an x-games area (keeping with disney brands and the extreme theme), perhaps halloween town (although villain's land might cover this). Thats about what i've come up with, but im sure theres more that could fit into the scope of it. i know im a dreamer, what can i do? :)

I do think that Hong Kong needs it the most, but focus on what they have already. I know Shanghai Disneyland is in the works and that would make it the 3rd Asian Disney park.

I'm still positive about Disney's America. I say resurrect the blueprints and bring it back! Northeastern US should have a park.
