Which Disney attraction would make a good movie?

They could re-release the original, but, it would be pretty confusing to many people, since there is no one riding in a log and going over a water fall and other then the characters, had nothing whatsoever to do with the manner of presentation in the ride. The ride has but one of the stories that comes up in the original movie, but, it is a story with no solid moral where as the original had a reason for the story to exist. Unless you have seen the original movie, you aren't going to understand what I'm talking about, but, I guess you will have to just take my word for it.

I haven't seen the original, I would love for them to re-release it, but I know how they want to be politically correct. I could be mistaken, but didn't the NAACP (or another group similar) try to have boycotts of the movie when it came out but then the president of the group saw the movie and actually enjoyed it?

No they won't re-release it basically because so many have already determined that the stereotyping of the era was to awful to be able to see what a good light it actually left African Americans in. They only think about life now instead of what it might have been like at the end of the civil war. Tunnel vision is never good for historic depiction.

I asked a very good friend, a American of African decent, to watch it and tell me how he felt about it. Overall, he commented that a couple of scenes, that could be lost if they wanted to edit it without really changing the story, did, at first give him pause, but, then felt that the overall way that blacks were depicted over the image that the whites were creating was very positive and with respect that he was OK with it. He, as I do, wished that he could be thought of as a man with the intelligence and common sense of Uncle Remus.

Expedition Everest would make a fun film.

That being said, I'd hate for Disney to take us up on any of this. I'm one of those who hated how POTC was "re-imagined" (ahem, totally messed up) to shoehorn in a [completely nonsensical] film-related plot and [anachronistic] Johnny Depp animatronics after the movies started coming out. I fear they'd try and do the same to any other attraction if a film based upon it turned out to be successful....
couldn't agree more!

So, I'm thinking even thought the refurbishment of the Norway pavilion isn't completed yet, maybe an animated movie set in a northern, snowy country might work. Throw in a few princesses, use the standard formula of Mom, Dad or both getting killed in a horrible accident. Who knows, it might be crazy enough to see a few tickets.

The Carousel of Progress-the family could time travel through the 20th century!

My family would be the only people who saw it I'm sure but we'd be HUGE fans!!
That ride is so special to me as I saw the original in 1965 at the NY World's Fair.

I think you really have to look at international Disney attractions if you want good new movie ideas. HKDL's Mystic Manor could make for an interesting movie, though the concept would be far too similar to the "Night at the Museum" franchise. Even a movie based off of Disney Sea's Tower of Terror could be cool...

I want this so bad now.

I would want an Ellen movie, very, very loosely based on the attraction. Just something where Bill Nye and Ellen are time traveling. That is my ideal movie.
