Young couple looking to do a Dinner show in September. We have never been to any of the dinner shows or Restaurants (bar Wolfgang Puck & Planet Hollywood) so we need recommendations!!

Also, in order for us to do some shows we need to cancel a few ADR's. We are doing one a day and have tried to spread the reservations around the different parks. This is what we have planned:
Dinner – Boatwrights @ POR (1st night so didn't think we would be up to doing much)
Breakfast - Chef Mickey’s @ DCR
Dinner - Sanna @ AKL
Lunch - Coral Reef @ Epcot
Dinner - Raglan Road @ DD
Dinner - Kouzzinna by Cat Cora @ BW
Lunch - 50s Prime Time Café @ HS
Lunch - Teppan Edo @ Epcot
Dinner – House of Blues @ DD
(Hopefully California Grill for last night but cannot book yet)

So:
1. Dinner Show Recommendations...
2. What ADRs that we have booked would you cancel?

What you have booked so far looks great, if you can’t get California Grill you might consider Yachtsman, Citrico’s or the Hollywood Brown Derby. As for dinner shows I would recommend Hoop De Doo over the luau, that is just my opinion however. If you could afford it I would drop the dinner show idea all together, go see Cirque du Soleil and grab a QS meal after again just my opinion.

I know many disagree with this one, but I am not a fan of Coral Reef. I went with a party of 10 people, and no one was crazy about their food, while some even despised it. Plus, unless you are really close to the aquarium, i feel you can get the same effect by viviting the Living Seas.

Hoop de Doo Review is one of our favorites. We always make time in our trip to see it. Gets high reviews from many guests. We enjoy the meal... some guests dont find it anything great but the entertainment is what keeps guests coming back for more. Don't know what your tastes are for meals, and what you would sacrifice, with 14 nights there must be somewhere you can fit it in.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a fun, rollicking, Western themed vaudeville dinner show. It takes place in Pioneer Hall located in Fort Wilderness. (Since this resort restricts vehicular traffic, extra travel time is needed.) Pioneer Hall has the main floor and a balcony. Seating is pre-assigned.

Dinner is served family style and includes a Dinner Salad, buckets of Barbecue Spare Ribs and Fried Chicken, Corn, Baked Beans, and Strawberry Shortcake.
Unlimited Soft Drinks, Coffee, Tea, Milk, Beer, Wine and Sangria are included.

I wouldn't cancel any ADRs. They all look great!:)
HoopDeeDoo is great fun and the ribs are actually pretty good!:)
Spirit of Aloha was fun, but the only part of the show I liked was the fire dancer!:) The food was average at best.:(
Why hot try Mickey's Backyard BBQ? It's loads of fun!:D

For a young couple with no kids
Add: Hoop Dee-Doo Review (HDDR)
Or...Spirit of Aloha at the Polynesian resort is nice but I'd go with HDDR

Mickey's backyard BBQ is a great show too and a lot of fun and the my kids 4-1/2 and 18 months loved dancing with the characters. Dec was our first time for this show and I even loved it. the country band is really good. There lasso rope trick demonstration and the characters dance with the audience (mostly kids) for about 1/2 the show. The food is buffet and included, ribs, chicken, burgers, hotdogs, salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, etc and aslo popcicles and mickey ice cream. plus it has open bar for beer and wine for the adults, btw.

Cancel: Lunch - Coral Reef @ Epcot - Highly dissatisfied there. Seriously steer clear of that place.

Hoop Dee-Doo all the way. It is bar none the best dinner show on property. Rest of your resis look good to me. Might change Sanna for Boma, JMHO tho.
Also ask for tier 2 seating at HDDR ASAP. As soon as you check into a resort go to the guest relations desk to check in for the meal, even if its not that day. The sooner you check in the better the seat will get. Or at least that's how it worked for me.

Yes its unlimited beer and sangria. I looked awhile back and I think the beer is Bud or Bud Light. Someone else can correct me if I am wrong.

I gotta agree with HDDR! It has become my favorite after going there in September for the first time. Show is great and the food is sooooo good!!! They give you a lot of food so make sure you go hungry! Enjoy!

If you are cancelling a few, keep Teppan Edo! That was my favorite meal of the week during my last trip. I think I licked my plate clean haha not really but I definitely cleared my plate.
