Which deluxe??

Hi all - first time, long time.....

My wife and I are planning another visit to the World next year, but can't decide what other resort to stay in. We loved the AKL and split a stay between there and the Polynesian this past year and loved it. We're wondering if we should try something else, or....

So...we're stuck between the GF, Yacht/Beach, WL and the Poly (but a lagoon view).

Any thoughts??? Any information is appreciated

Thanks!

I might as well chime in on the posted issue. I would choose the second resort based on the parks you will be spending the most time in when you at the second resort. If you will be spending most of your time at MK, then I would stay at the WL or GF for the quick MK transporation. However, if you will be going to MGM and Epcot more, I would stay at the Y&B Club.

BTW, this May we are doing exactly what you did in your last trip. We are staying in the AKL (3 nights) and then the Poly (7 nights). My kids are 4 and 5, so spending more time at the Poly made sense. Because I am a disney nut, I have already begun thinking about how to split up the next vacation and am leaning toward a Beach Club/WL split.

Can you tell me a little more about the Sunrise/Sunset Safari. Is there a cost? Is theme park admission required? How long are they? Which is better?

The Sunrise Safari is a tour that is basicaly the Killimanjaro Safari ride at AK, but they turn off the "ride" part.

They take you in the normal trucks, but you get a animal keeper (from AKL) that rides with you and they talk and answer question throughout the ride. The truck stops often for photo ops, and the whole thing tends to take 30 or more to ride through.

After the ride you are taken to the Tusker House in AK for a breakfast buffet that is very good and the keepers eat with you so they can continue to answer questions for you.

The Sunset Safari is a new one, and I haven't had the pleasure yet of doing. This one is done in the evening at AKL as they take you out in a vehich in one of AKL savannas, and then you are taken to Jiko for a full special dinner affair.

Sunrise requires park admission, Sunset does not. Both require you to be staying at AKL Conceiege to sign up.

Sunrise is $40 a person, Sunset is $150, and both have limited seating and are only done a few days each week and Sunset has an age restriction.

Since I've never done Sunset yet (but it sounds great) I can't really compair them yet. We've done Sunrise twice, the first was better (more animals were out), but if you're doing conceiege, you really should spring for it.

You can read more about them here

Hope that helps!
