Which day to go to DAK

I'm struggling to come up with the wisest decision, for something that may seem simple, so I decided to consult with the people here and see what most of you think...

My girlfriend and I will be in Orlando for just a few days in a couple of weeks (8/23 to 8/26). We will only have one day to visit a park, and since my girlfriend has never been to DAK, that's the one I'm going to take her to.

Here's my question: To minimize having crowds, which of these two days would be better, Sunday, 8/24 or Monday, 8/25? Ordinarily, I would think that Monday would be the less crowded of the two days, but I noticed that day (8/25) is an EMH day for that morning. So I assume that means we might encounter more crowds in the form of resort guests.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been to WDW twice a year for the past 18 years and although I am no expert on the parks, if it was up to me, I would do Animal Kingdom on Sunday.
Extra Magical hours draws a lot of people.
Most locals and other vacationers do Magic Kingdom on Saturday and EPCOT on Sunday so I would imagine that the crowds would not be as large at Animal Kingdom unless it was an early extra magical hour day.
Good luck

A quick look at touringplans.com tells me that your best bet will be the Sunday. Their advice has always served me well in the past.

I think the logic is based on the fact that Sunday is the first full day for a lot of guests and most of these guests will go straight to MK. A few more will schedule DAK for an EMH day so they can maximise their times in the park.

Thanks for recommending the site, folks!

As to how we come up with the "best parks" recommendations, it's pretty simple. We send people into each park to measure wait times, day after day, for weeks on end. Once we have enough data, we anlyze it and identify trends. The recommendations are based on those trends we see in the data.

That process is what sets us apart. I think many folks try to figure out in their head what parks "should" be busy on a particular day, and then try to explain it. Other than us, I've never seen anyone actually count people in the parks to see if their opinions hold true.

Hope this helps. Thanks again!
