Which Dark Ride Would You Prefer To Be Evacuated From?

My other choice would have been Space Mountain, but I was evacuated from it in 2008. We were at the upper most part of the track. It took them a few minutes to get to us; everyone else had already been evacuated. All the lights were on; it was really neat to see all the tracks. Went down some stairs, then to an elevator. The castmembers who were escorting us were very informative and talkative. We did receive some fastpasses for our 'troubles'...but I was really happy having a chance to see it all...that would have been enough.

I had the exact same thing happen to me in 2010. We had just left the tunnel that takes you up, went around the first turn and just stopped. Lights came on and there we sat. I only had my crummy phone to take pictures with, so I snapped what I could and then just kept looking all around. There's really not much to see except gray. We were up there for a good 10 minutes and my legs actually started hurting from being cramped into that car the whole time.

And the cause of the stoppage wasn't anything mechanical, someone had left on their hat and it flew off and hit a sensor which put everything into shutdown mode. But then it has to be off line for a certain amount of time(maybe 30 minutes) while they went through everything per protocol. So we left for a while and came back later that night to use the bonus FP's. I actually didn't really enjoy the ride that time because I had seen it all and there wasn't much mystery any longer. This last trip back it was back to being enjoyable, though.

I've been "evacuated" from Spaceship Earth once before- the amount of stairs is ridiculous.

If I had to be evacuated from a ride it would have to be Haunted Mansion. Between seeing everything behind the scenes and it being my favorite ride, no doubt about it.

I'd have to say Haunted Mansion. My wife's Uncle actually got evac'd on Big Thunder Mountain before the refurb. He said the CMs announced that everyone needed to turn off and store cameras and then watched everyone like hawks the entire walk out of the ride. He also told me that it was all too tempting to get his camera out!

If by some chance you actually found me in Captain EO (which will only happen if I am forcibly drug into it), it can stop at any time! Actually it could real down before the show started and I would be perfectly happy.

A ride I would like to see the inner workings of is ToT. Getting off Space Mountain or Splash Mountain would be quite an interesting and fun experience.

One ride I wouldn't want to have to be evacuate from is Little Mermaid... They already have so much exposed, you don't have to be evacuated to get the gist of how things work ;) (Sorry, I had to... ;) )

for me its easy, expedition Everest at the tip top. Maybe at the yeti scene so i could look at it for a while, maybe even fix it.

I'm always wearing a tool belt so when the chance arises, I can surreptitiously make repairs. I recently got a letter from Disney that pointed out even though I only visit 1.5 times a year for 10 days or so, that I am currently considered the entirety of the maintenance department since I work for free.

On my most recent trip in March we were riding pirates during EMH and were evacuated at about 1am from the room with the guy on the bridge with the dirty foot hanging down... Cm's had to put on rubber waders and hop in the water to push the boats back to a spot next to the set so we could get out. We were ushered through a door and through backstage until we were outside... Cm's were there the whole time making sure no one was taking pictures. It was about a 5 minute walk around the outside of the building, backstage, until we were back in the park.... It was a super fun experience and I'm pretty glad it happened lol!

This happened to us a few years back, CMs in rubber waders and all. Had to evac after 1.5 hours, and we even got to walk the 'plank'. The CMs in the water would move the boat along to jail scene. They then placed a 'plank' with hand rails from the walkway onto the boat. We had to cross this to exit the boat. I took a bunch of pics, but none of them turned out great due to poor lighting.

However, the CMs on dry land could not control the situation at all. Many people went into the treasure room and were taking pictures with Jack. My kids still talk about this experience.

I'd rather not be evacuated from any ride, to be honest.

The only time I have been evacuated was from UoE, just after we got seated in the ride vehicles, but before the main show started. Despite numerous warnings from the CMs, some kid stood up and jumped off, just as they started the ride sequence.

The CMs made the kid and family feel embarrassed , saying it was because of them that 1000 people had to be evacuated from the ride.

The evacuation itself wasn't spectacular. We just got led out back into the pre-show room and out through the main entrance. No behind the scenes for us!

Depends on the reason for the evac.
Fire None!!!
Flood - IASW or Pirates well Im on a boat.
Power Failure - Haunted Mansion because that would just be kick a_ _
Zombie outbreak - Carosel of Progress so I could sing "it's a great big beautiful tomorrow" while crackin' some zombie heads.
Always need to be ready for the Zombie apocalypse!:D

Spaceship Earth for sure -- I think that is the absolutely coolest design for an interior of a ride anywhere -- would love to see how it all looks with lights on and "behind the scenes"....

My absolute favorite Backstage experience was at the Great Movie Ride, memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I would love to get evac'd off Mansion, THAT would be quite an adventure!

For everyone that posted Haunted Mansion, I've been evacuated off the ride while stuck on the descent ramp from the attic into the graveyard. We were ushered through to the exit with the lights completely on while the animatronics, effects, and sound were still going on...It was sort of neat to start with, but at the same time, kind of ruined it, too!
