Which Buffet Would You Choose?

I've been a long time Crystal Palace supporter, but I have a choice between that and Chef Mickey's for dinner (not breakfast).

Which would you choose or would you choose another not listed below? (I know these aren't all buffets, but I thought I might get suggestions to go instead)

I already have 'Ohana, Garden Grill, and Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic! Dinner.

Out of Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace (I've been to both), I would pick the CP for dinner...just because the atmosphere feels more conducive to what I think of for a dinner experience. I also think the CP dinner food to be of a little better quality.

That said, I'd totally pick CM for breakfast with the fun and boisterous vibe and being able to watch the monorails heading in and out of the grand concourse. In terms of breakfast I think CM has a little better food and options than CP.

I couldn't tell if there was particular criteria in terms of which hotel or park, but I've also really enjoyed Boma for lunch and dinner and Tusker House for dinner. I've always enjoyed going to the AKL and seeing the animals in the hotel's savanna, and Tusker House had a really amazing variety of foods (assuming one at least is interested in trying some ethnic dishes). Just for the food I'd probably pick Tusker House over Boma by a slim margin, but I'd pick Boma for the overall experience as far as a hotel buffet with the food and being able to visit the AKL.

I'd get rid of Hollywood and Vine and do both Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's.

And Boma rocks my socks off, but I would only do it if you're driving. It's a pain in the buns to get to and from AKL at dinner time, especially if your meal ends after DAK is closed.

Yeah, heard that one Boma...no car though.

I'm doing Hollywood and Vine as part of Fantasmic because I'd rather have a ticket for the show. I've been to Hollywood & Vine at least 20 times and I'm interested to see the Minnie character dinner. I do like Crystal Palace/Chef Mickey's better from a food perspective.

I'm not a huge fan of Mama Melrose and the Fantasmic Dinner ticket is kind of a must. I'd rather have that than use a traditional fast pass (better seating, same bucket as Toy Story).

I'd go with whichever atmosphere/experience appeals more to you. Pooh vs Mickey, pretty-solarium-type-building vs monorail whizzing in and out as you dine. I find the food to be comparable, so I'd pick whichever theme draws more to you.

You other choices seem good for what you're looking for!

I have to tell you, the last two times I was at Crystal Palace for dinner I was incredibly disappointed in the selection of food, the cleanliness of the serving stations and the quality of what was served. We'd had dinner there over a dozen times in the past, but I'm not sure I would do it again. Try 1900 Park Faire in the Grand Floridian.

For dinner I would do Chef Mickey's because Mickeyand friends beat Pooh and friends in my book any day. Between the two for breakfast I would do an early Crystal Palace to get into the park early.

Another point of view -

Crystal Palace over Chef Mickeys at ANY mealtime unless you have youngsters. The young ones seem to be better behaved at CP
You know, I have observed that as well. I've been to both multiple times and feel like CP is more subdued. For some reason, I have this mentality that Chef Mickey's has better food, but I don't know if that's just psychological. Is it really better? I can't decide.

I'm going throw a second in for the person who said 1900 Park Fare! We ate there for the first time for dinner this past November and LOVED it! The variety is great...something for the picky eater like myself and plenty for the adventurous eater like my husband! I would most definitely recommend it!

Boma is definitely worth the bus ride for dinner.
If you're worried about the time commitment, spend an hour or two wandering around the resort looking at animals while your'e there.

I would choose Crystal Palace, it is our favorite! The food always seems better as well.
