Hi,

we are going end of January and with the Fun in the Sun Pass we will get a voucher for a breakfast.
We can choose between the following restaurants

Cape May Cafe (Beach Club Resort)
Chef Mickeys (Contemporary)
1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)
Ohana (Polynesian Resort)
Restaurantosaurus (Animal Kingdom)
ABC Commissary
Hollywood & Vine
Pizzafari
Restaurantosaurus
Tusker House
Restaurantosaurus im Animal Kingdom

Which one would you choose? Do I need PS?

First of all, I would note that not all of those are character breakfasts. Therefore, that could be a factor in your decision. ( ABC Commisary, Tusker House, Hollywood & Vine, and Pizzafari are not character breakfasts.)

I have never done the Animal Kingdom for breakfast, so I can't comment on that one. Neither have I been to Cape May, although it does come highly reccommended.

If you have young children, I would go to Chef Mickey's. Otherwise, Ohana is an excellent choice. If Donald is a favorite character, then the Restaurantosaurus is the way to go.

PS are always a good idea. I would also tell them that you are using your voucher when you call.

Enjoy !!

Restaurantosaurus is my choice. We do it every trip....is a great breakfast buffet with soooo many choices.

I'm sure many will be recommending Chef Mickeys as well. Good luck getting PS's for that!

Alooooooha,
Well, im going to assume that you've never been to Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary or you wouldnt ask such a silly question ;)
Actually, in my opinion Chef Mickeys is tops, no contest...BUT, its so hard to get a table -one of WDWs top 3 most difficult to get into...
So book early! 1-407-WDW-DINE

I'm voting for Chef Mickey's. Its definately our favorite. You'll need PS, but we've never had a problem, even making them from thr hotel the evening before.

Out of all those, the only place I've eaten for breakfast is the Cape May Café. I thought that the food was delicious there, they have a large breakfast buffet.
From what I've heard, Chef Mickey's is very good also.

We love Ohana - hands down the best food and atmosphere! Chef Mickey's is great if you like birds pooping in your breakfast - as happens quite frequently. My favorite part of Ohana is that they serve you at your table. it's still all you can eat but instead of eating at a trough they bring it to you! Works great!

I've done all of them, I personally enjoy 1900 Park the best. Maybe it's me but I feel the food and service is better. Next to that, is Chef Mickey. Either one is a great start to Magic Kingdom.

Good luck and have fun.

I have done dinner at Chef Mickeys and would recommend it even though I have never done the breakfast. I am sure it is wonderful. I have done 1900 Park Fare at the GF, and honestly was not impressed much by it. I guess I was expecting more from the "upscale" resort. Although that being said, didnt care much for Victoria and Alberts.

I would either go with Cape May Cafe or Chef Mickey's. I did Chef Mickey's every time we went when I was little so if you have little kids you should definitely go there. I have only been to Cape May Cafe for dinner(excellent, btw), and I have heard many good things about their breakfast. Plus, I am sure that they have Mickey waffles at both places, so you can't go wrong with either. :slurp:

You definitely will need a PS, especially for Chef Mickey's. Make it ASAP so you can schedule your park plans around it.

Have fun!

I agree 100%. Here's a tip: get a priority seating at Restaurantosaurus for before the park opens. Since Animal Kingdom has the shortest hours, it really allows you to maximize your time at the park.

love love love LOVE Ohana's... we sat along the window and could see the castle while we ate, the food was awesome and I loved the outfits Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale had on! The kids who were there seemed to really have fun, and so did my boyfriend and I!

Another good thing about Ohana is that you'll get pictures of Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale that you can't find anywhere else in the parks - because they are dressed up like Hawiian's! Everyone always asks me where we had those pictures take b/c you never get to see the characters like that - except at Ohana!

Oh, and be sure to check out the warm pineapple bread - it is soooo yummy! A great way to start off your Polynesian breakfast!

Breakfastosaurus

We just returned from WDW today and while I can't speak for any of the other character breakfasts, we did Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK and it was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of food to choose from both hot and cold, and even more importantly if you have kids was that each character (Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy) came around to each table for autographs and pic's and did not rush to get through the restaurant. Our kids loved the experience and we'll definitely do it again.
