Where to watch Wishes!!??

I know I know there are probably 50 threads about this same question but I have looked. I typed in "Wishes spots, Wishes, where to sit, Wishes seat, best Wishes." I'm getting nothing. So if anyone knows the magic words or could just tell me I'd appreciate it!

We have been to Disney 5 times but have yet to see Wishes . Me and the DH are taking an adult only trip to Florida this September and have managed to work in one MK day. I would love to finally see Wishes. The big question is where can I watch that won't be in the middle of the hub with a bazillion others. I'm not interested in the Desert Party so that option is out. Any suggestions would be wonderful!!

OH another question is that since the DH isn't the Disney nut that I am I wanted to take a mid take break and hit some monorail resorts and check out some bar/lounges so we could get a drink or two and relax. I've heard Tambu Lounge is a great place to try. Is that by Ohana?

I also have never tried a Dole Whip, a Chicken Waffle sandwich, been to Tom Sawyer Island, rode the Riverboat or watched the Hall of Presidents. You should all know that I plan on making sure all of these are checked off my list of to do's!

1. I loved watching wishes from Directly in front of the castle and Narcooses ( the restaurant)
2. DOLE WHIP is a must have! Please do not skip this
3. River Boat is nice if you have time but it's slow so 1 day @ MK I would skip
4. Tom sawyer Island is pretty cool there are tunnels and little forts I would do this!

One good place is the balcony of the Main Street Train Station, but you may have to get there early to get a spot on the railing.
Another spot we like is at the Contemporary Resort. On the fourth floor, just past the food store there is a door that leads out to a landing from which you can see the castle and Wishes. The music is also piped in so you can hear it. There are always people there, but certainly not the crush that is in the MK.

I Like the idea of the Train Station. How early would you suggest?

There are a few that I think are really good:

1. Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage - not cheap, but a great experience and I think the best way to watch wishes.
2. Train Station on Main Street - we have gotten a good seat up top by arriving about an hour before hand.
3. 4th floor of Contemporary, like @rob0519 good spot, food & drink nearby, and quick access to monorail for leaving.
4. New Fantasyland - behind the castle at Gaston's is one of the best places to watch, you don't really get the castle show, but the fireworks view is awesome - just look up.

Thanks @lunchbox1175 @Arty Cordova. Behind the castle might actually work with what i hope to plan for the day!! I want to leave lesurely and soak in my last few minutes and not be shuffled down Main Street with a huge crowd. Now I'm even a little more excited!!

Although when does anything go as planned at Disney. :D

Just keep in mind that there are construction walls around the hub that currently limit your view of Wishes if you want to see it from in front of the castle -- you have to be in front of those walls, or well behind them. If our experience last week is any indication, you'll need to arrive on Main Street no later than 45-60 minutes before Wishes if you want any hope of finding a clear view of both the castle and the fireworks.

However, if seeing the fireworks from in front of Cinderella Castle isn't a biggie, then New Fantasyland (near the bridge to Be Our Guest restaurant) offers a spectacular, open view of the fireworks from over the Beast's castle, and far from the elbow-to-elbow crowds on Main Street - like this: .

You'll basically have this beautiful viewing spot all to yourself (the audio part of the presentation will be loud and clear here as well, FWIW), and you will be free to move about the moment the fireworks are over.

This past dec we got the neatest little spot. I was amazed at how early evryone started camping out to get their spot so our original plan was out the window. We got hotdogs at caseys corner and just down from caseys corner is the big directory. People were lined up on the street but not at the directory area. There was some kind of box, maybe electrical box or something by the directory and fence. It made the perfect little table to sit our food on. It was right in back of the fence which lined the sidewalk so cm,s were keeping everyone from stopping along the fence. So noone was ever in front of us. Great spot. People did not begin to fill in that directory area until late.
