Where to watch the Final Four?!

My hubby can't believe I'm even worried about this, after all of the $$ we're spending on this vacation! :p However, I would love to cheer on my alma mater, Michigan State University, after we spend a Harry Potter filled day at Universal. If we happen to get back to POFQ by the second half, knowing my girls' endurance levels, I'm wondering if we could just chill out by Mardi Grogs (are there TVs?) and let the girls relax and have a little night swimming? Or try to squeeze in to ESPN Zone or something else in Downtown Disney? Other suggestions?

TIA!

Pool bar, bar at the resort, or even your room. Or, you could stop at any number of nice places on Universal Dr. I can't remember the one sports bar, but we found it on a Google search. It was excellent and catered to tourists.

Another option is the NASCAR bar at City Walk. Excellent place and not outrageously expensive.

Mardi Grogs closes at dusk I believe. Scat Cats has a couple of TV's & I would guess that they would have the games on. Alternately, there are several Miller's Ale Houses in the Orlando Area. Big Sports bar / restaurant type place. Lots of TV's. Decent enough food. There's one right across the street from Universal on Kirkman as well as one on I-Drive.

Good luck finding a place to watch your team. I'm a lifelong Blackhawks fan.. We go to at least a dozen games a year, but we were in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom when I found out they beat Boston to win the cup. Cosmic Ray's, Wishes and a Stanley Cup, all in all not a bad evening in my opinion.

If you have the stamina, I think your best option is to drive directly to Disney's Boardwalk Resort where the ESPN Club is located. (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/boardwalk/espn-club/) Coming from Universal, take the Epcot Center Drive exit. Take the Bonnet Creek Parkway exit as if headed to POFQ. However, turn left onto Buena Vista Drive instead. Turn right at the Hess gas station and follow the signs to the Boardwalk Resort. Since you're already a guest at POFQ, the guard at the gate will let you in. NOTE: There will be somewhat of a walk from the parking lot to ESPN Club.

Wind down by watching the game(s) on the multiple monitors and getting food and beverages for you and your family.

ESPN Zone would be my bet - I've done this for a few big sporting events. One thing to note, it may be packed. At times I've had to wait quite a while to get in. Good Luck

It's a shame that ESPN doesn't have the rights to the NCAA tourney. I bet they would set up something in the Odyssey like they did for the World Cup.

Heck, in all seriousness, I would pay for a special viewing party for the NCAA somewhere on property (CASTLE PROJECTION!).

Great games tonight! I'm a VERY happy girl tonight. OnWisconsin! GoBadgers!

I'm not a basketball fan at all, but I'm from Wisconsin so I'm pretty happy the Badgers are in the final. (Although since I live closer to Minneapolis/St. Paul MN than Madison I am a little bit more of a Gopher fan...shhhh don't tell!:cautious:)
