Is there anywhere that we can get to by monorail? I am trying to get an ADR for Nov 14th that would be good for my Mother and myself. What resorts are connected by monorail?

Thanks Again:);)

Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary are on the monorail. Wilderness Lodge is accessible via resort boat launch, so is Fort Wilderness for the Trails End restaurant.

Me, I'd just eat in the park. You'd be surprised at how much time you'll suck up leaving the park.

The monorail connects to the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian...so any restaurant in there is up for grabs. Be sure that if you are going to a hotel that you get on the Resort Monorail and not the Express. The Express doesn't stop at the Resorts. :)

A boat will take you over to Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness.

And if eating in the park, my value recommendation for a Table Service meal is the Plaza. Not pricey at all. Good sandwhiches.

For a heartier meal, go with Crystal Palace, esp. if you like Pooh.

I was not impressed with Tony's.

Another vote for California Grill or Ohana. For options less expensive, and also as stated above, Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe or Whispering Canyon cafe if you want to take a boat to and from the Wilderness Lodge.

Highly suggest Ohana at Polynesian...so good! :)

'Ohana is a tough reservation to get and California Grill is a pit pricey, so if you can't get the former, and would like to spend less than what it costs to dine at the latter, allow me to suggest a couple alternatives.

In the Polynesian, the Kona Cafe is open for breakfast and dinner, and serves a decent meal at both dining times. It's a bit noisy due to being in the main lobby of the hotel, right next to a waterfall, and the ambiance isn't much to speak of, but the food is good enough to make up for most faults. If you like coffee, this is also one of the few places on property where you can actually get a very good cup. It's a 100% Kona bean brew, not a blend, served in a press pot.

The Grand Floridian Cafe in the Grand Floridian (natch), serves a great meal at a good price (for Disney prices, that is) for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's a wide open dining room with views of the landscaping in the middle of the resort. It's pretty much all windows, so it's bright and inviting. The menu is fairly simple, but there are interesting flourishes in pretty much every dish. They also serve arguably the best cut of steak you can get in a non-signature restaurant.

Also, the Wave, in the Contemporary, is within walking distance, if you don't feel like waiting for a monorail, or just want to take a stroll. I'm not too impressed with their breakfast offerings, but it's one of the most underrated lunch spots in the Magic Kingdom area. You can order from the full menu in the lounge, as well, and the lounge is a fantastic place to hang out.

We love the Grand Floridian Cafe never seems to loud even when busy and the surroundings are beautiful, I also have got to recommend Trail's End super relaxing and yummy corn bread!

I would say either 'Ohana, if you could get it, or Kona. Both are at the Polynesian and both are excellent. I have also heard very good things about the Grand Floridian Cafe but have never made it there myself.

Just to add, there is one more form of transportation available, the resort launch. For the restaurants at GF it is the fastest way TO GF with monorail back. Our favorites around the lagoon are Kona Cafe, Narcoosse's and California Grill (though the last is supposed to have a lengthy rehab coming up next year. Really, any restaurant in the resorts is good.

for a nice sit down meal hit citricos or narcoossee's at the grand floridian or for a less expensive option even the grand floridian cafe isn't bad, california grill or the wave at the contemporary, artists point at wilderness lodge, or ohana's at the poly. i will say i've had hit or miss dining in terms of both service and the food at ohana's but when it's good it's worth going at least once. if i wanted a spot to sit down and eat inside the park i agree with other posters about the plaza. it's just american style food but has a nice atmosphere. my 23 y/o daughter has loved eating there since she was little...probably because you can get a really good milkshake with your meal lol. the food there is the best you'll find inside the park imo and the view is great.

All three resorts on the monorail have great restaurants. If you want fun family style, go to Ohana's. For a great dinner and view of the MK and fire works, California grille. Grand Floridian has three signature restaurants, Narcoossees, Citricos, and Victoria & Alberts (very expensive). If you want a dinner show, the Spirit of Aloha at Polynesian is fun. In my opinion, all resorts have better food than the MK, and would definitely leave for the two hour meal.
