Where to eat for a break from the MK?

On our November trip to WDW I'd like to take a break about 2 in the afternoon from the MK when the crowds are picking up. Can anyone suggest a restaurant at one of the MK resorts for a late lunch? I'll be travelling with my DH, DD (20 years old) and DS (18 years old). The DD is not very adventurous in her eating choices, so it can't be somewhere too exotic. Thanks for your suggestions!

Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge sounds like what you want. It is a quick boat ride from the Magic Kingdom. It's a fun place to eat and the food is not too exotic, yet still delicious. You should be able to get PS at that time without a problem. Check at City Hall in the morning to make sure.

Enjoy.

Whispering Canyon was the first restaurant to come to my mind. It's a nice boat ride from the Magic Kingdom and the foods good. Sometimes we eat a light dinner in a park, so that we can have desert at Whispering Canyon. I love the cobblers.

If you don't want to leave the MK, I recommend the Columbia Harbor House. Eat upstairs. It's usually very quiet up there.

Another good choice is the buffet at Fort Wilderness. Lots of good comfort food and a quiet setting.

Whispering Canyon is one of my all time favorite places to eat, so I'm going to have to recommend it. Of course I never pass up on a chance for a monorail ride either.

None of the restaurants, both service and conter in Magic Kingdom are in any way exotic, so you should not have a problem.

For nearby locations I think Tigsmom has given you the rundown.
