:wave:Just wondering what resort is close by to the Magic Kingdom? Would like to take Mom to a nice TS meal during our day at MK. Would like to take the monorail to a resort or maybe a boat trip to someplace nice to eat besides at MK park.

contemporary, Polynesian, and the grand floridian are all on the monorail loop connected to the magic kingdom and super easy to get too. There is a boat to wilderness lodge but it takes a little longer.

Restaurants we like that are in or around the MK:

Crystal Palace in MK
CRT in MK
1900 Park Fare at GF
Ohana at Poly
Whispering Canyon at WL
Chef Mickey's at CR

Kona has a nice variety for all ages and pallets...it's also a relaxing ride away from the Magic Kingdom via the monorail or by boat.

POLY, CONT, or GF

Well- Polynesian has Kona Cafe (easier to get reservation) or 'Ohana dinner all you can eat huge fire pit, great chicken shrimp, and beef on skewers! The Spirit of Aloha Show (Luau) all you can eat is 2 table service credits, but well worth it! Must book early though!

Grand Floridian has signature restaurants such as Narcoossee's (2 table service credits, but worth it if you like seafood) or Grand Floridian Cafe.

Contemporary has California Grill (2 table service credits)- romantic at the top and can see Wishes! fireworks @ night. Chef Mickey's is all you can eat buffet! Great food and it is a character meal, but fun for even adults w/ Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald. The Wave is also a nice restaurant.

A boat ride will take you to Fort Wilderness for Hoopdeedoo Musical Revue show and all you can eat ribs & chicken Yum! (2 table service meal credits.)

A boat ride will take you to Wilderness Lodge for Whispering Canyon Cafe or Artist Point (great food/signature dining/ 2 TS credits).

Good luck and happy eating!:D

If you're looking for something fancy I'd head to California Grill (Contemporary) or Narcossee (Grand Floridian). They're both delicious but are definitely more expensive. If you want something less expensive and more kid friendly I'd definitely try to get reservations for Ohana (Polynesian). If you can't get that, Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge) is another great option!

California Grill at sunset

We love to eat at the California Grill at Sunset and watch the Magic Kingdom lights come on!!

Also you can come back and watch the fireworks on the roof top at Magic Kingdom. They pump the music on the roof!!! Loving the fireworks without the crowds!!!!

If you like Sushi and don't mind waiting until 5:00 PM when they open I would recommend going to the Polynesian and trying the Kona Island Suhi Bar, which is located right by their entrance/exit to the Resort Monorail on the 2nd floor of the Great Ceremonial House. Plus you can also order off the full Kona Cafe dinner menu if you feel like it. The only difference is over there they don't accept ADR's, so it's first come first serve.
