Where is Tinkerbell's Treasures located...

The store is in Fantasyland. I think it's right behind the Castle. I could be wrong. I have heard of "waking up tink". I am not too sure how to do it. I typically skip that shop.

From what I hear waking Tinkerbell is no longer done.

Apparently this is the case. There used to be a drawer/chest in there, with a hollow key hole. You could peak in and see her. Then i heard after the remodel, that was gone, but you could still "ring some kind of bell" at the counter and if you looked around, you could see flickering lights, supposed to be tink. Not sure if this is still there or not:shrug:

From what I have read she appears in a window now. She is much easier to see but it is no where near as cool as the key hole thing was. This is one of a laundry list of little details that I need to confirm or deny in a couple of weeks.

Richard keep us updated via this thread or PM me if you don't mind, i leave the 27th and would love to know since i printed out that list of "Disney Secrets/Tips" to look out for. This particular thing was on that list, i can strike it so i don't have to waste time on it.

Thanks

My daughter was dying to do this last week, however by the time we got to the store after our adrs the cm said tinkerbell was already woken up :(. The cm told my daughter she could still call for her. She gave my daughter the bell and told her to yell tinks name out, so we did and tink appeared on the T.V. screen. Hope this helps

If I recall, as the effects were originally installed in the shop, she "appeared" in multiple places, but the keyhole in the chest drawer was the only one where you could actually see her.

You would hear the tinkling chimes sound, and there was fiber optic pixie dust that would swirl along the wall until Tink reached an object, and then there would be a flash and a ding as Tink "landed" there. It would start as Tink flew along and landed in a box of treasure behind one of the register counters (the gold and jewels in the box would blink), then she would fly across the room to a lantern high up on a shelf and a strobe would blink in the lantern as she landed. Then she would fly over to the chest of drawers and land inside, at which point a light would blink inside the keyhole and if you looked in you could see Tink inside. Then it would repeat around the room.

At some point a remodel of the store removed one of the effects, then another, then another. Now they just have the bell, I believe it's at the same counter that used to have the box of treasure and jewels.

We did this a couple weeks ago with my daughter, like the other poster said, you don't wake her up anymore but you get to ring a bell, call real loud for Tink and she appears in the window. My daughter also got a certificate saying that she woke up Tinkerbell. Maybe not as cool as it used to be but for any little girl that's a huge Tink fan it's lots of fun.

I was there two weeks ago.

I did not look too closely, but I know for sure the chest is gone.

You can still hear Tink "moving" around the shop.

I didn't bother to see exactly where she "moves" now, but I can confirm that the chest with the keyhole is gone.

OK - I'll clarify - It's gone from it's original spot. Maybe it wsa somewhere else in the shop I did not see. We did walk around and did not see it, but then sometime you miss things right in front of your face.

That makes me sad.

We did it the first week in August. If you ask the CM at the cashier near the front, they have a bell that you ring and they want everyone near to call "Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell" You'll see "pixie dust" near the top of the walls to side of the shop and Tinkerbell appears on sort of a screen behind the cashier.

Correct. Foe a time around 2004-2005ish the light in the drawer was on full time and you could peer through the key hole and see a PO'ed Tink sitting on a spool of thread.

Thanks for the information everyone. Bummer that it's not as elaborate as it used to be, but my daughter might still get a kick out of it. We always get to the parks before opening, so maybe we'll give it a shot at being the first one to the store.

It's different, but I still thought it was pretty elaborate. I saw it done in May. 4 little girls arrived at the same time and were all allowed to do it together. They said "Wake Up Tinkerbell" over & over again and took turns ringing the bell. The pixie dust around the border of the room is still there, and you see/hear Tink along there, and then she appears on the screen and waves. The chest is gone with the keyhole.

If people come later in the day, they can "call" Tink, by ringing the bell again. So it's just a way to prevent people from knocking each other out to get there. Although people were still racing to do it when I was there. After all the little girls left the store, the CM asked me if I wanted to wake Tink again for fun. So I did - it was cute & fun. I don't know if people all day get the certificate, or just the early ones in, but they gave me one even though the official "waking" was already done. :)
