Hi Everyone- I am a long time reader but never have posted. I know General Griz used to be very frequent and even started his own web site. I recently saw that it was no longer working. With the rumors of the Timekeeper closing , I really expected to see him weigh in. Does anyone Know if he is Ok?

Also J Maxwell the Birmingham Airport is not that bad.

He was abducted by the secret Eisner Army and is chained to the missle silo inside Cinderella's Castle where he is undergoing a transformation into a human audio-animatronic zombie. A timer counts down the final closure of Carousel of Progress and when it hits 0:00, the brave general will replace Henry as the emcee of the Country Bear Jamboree.

Who can save him???

Seriously, we miss you GG.

I believe the General is "in retirement." From what I gathered there were some differences of opinion between him and some other members and he felt the need to leave. While I think he may have overreacted, I also believe that every member in this forum, especially one who cares so deeply for WDW (whether you agree with the way he expresses it or not, he still does) should have their opinion valued and be treated with respect.

I for one hope that we do see the likes of him around here again someday. It's people like him that keep Disney on it's toes, even if he does go a bit too far sometimes. Especially now that the parks' future looks so bright these days (though there's still a lot of room for improvement), I do hope to hear from him again.

Knowing Grizz, I wouldn't be surprised at all, if he's still around on these boards using an AKA... secretly lurking...

Grizz should pop up on the board tommorrow with the screenname "Admiral Grizz" and be like "I come back to you now...at the turn of the tide!"

That would be awesome! Now he can dethrone Thrawnoman the white.

I really miss Grizz too. I do believe that he will return and be a normal poster again some day. Especially now that Disney's future looks really bright now that Pixar has joined the Disney family, Eisner is out of the picture, and Ouimet is doing a great job fixing up DL.

D-Troops I believe had a problem with their server and it went down for quite a long period of time. They finally brought it back up but without the likes of the General and with a different look at thing, but then it went down again. It has been down ever since with the fedora core test page.

It is quite un professional that they have not even put a holding page up there and I think if they are not going to use it then they should let someone else take control and put it to use.

As for General Grizz, I also miss reading his comments, it is a shame that difference in opinion ends up in arguments and members having to leave a great community. I would love to see him back here but I don't think it is going to happen for a long time if ever.

Towards the end of his stay here, Grizz started making outlandish claims and using scare tactics. People called him out on it, and he couldn't handle it. The power he had gained over his minions got to his head.

I hope to see Grizz back again one day. I may not have agreed with everything he posted (but I can say that of more than just Grizz), however I did agree with him on many things, his heart was in the right place and enjoyed his contributions to the site.
