Where in WDW is Downtown Disney?

My wife and I are going to WDW from 2/9/08-2/16/08 and what we are wondering is where on the Disney Property is Downtown Disney located? Are there signs that lead you to Downtown Disney?

There are plenty of signs to the Downtown Disney area, which is divided into three areas - Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and West Side. Free buses to and from all of the Disney resorts as well.

Downtown Disney is the on other side of a lake to Saratoga Springs.
There is regular transport to and from all of the resorts, however, there is no transport from any of the parks.
If you plan to visit after a park, or are staying offsite, the easiest thing to do is get the bus to Saratoga and walk around the lake.
