Have you ever had plum pudding with "hard sauce"? At Christmas, my mother used to buy the plum pudding and steam it. Then, she's make hard sauce (I think it had rum in it), and pour it over the tops and sides of the pudding. Anyway, when I was only about 3, I tried it for the first time, and spit out the plum pudding. But, I licked the plate clean of all the hard sauce!
