In Ontario, in order to claim the "snow tire" auto insurance discount, you must have them installed by 11/1 and leave them on until 4/1. There's a reason for that.
I never take mine off until mid April.

We not only don't have discounts like that here, but a couple years ago DC-area drivers suddenly had to start paying a "Sharknado surcharge," for some reason.
