21. Immediately followed by cold, snow, frostbite, frozen toes, stuck in snow drifts, cars that won't start and those that do slide off the road, did I mention cold air. Frequent visits by Jim Cantore and cold, cold air.

It's still too hot here for me to call it fall.

As soon as Labor Day passed, so did the weather. It just plummeted, so now we are in the 60's and 70's (which is fine with me). It did get warm enough yesterday for me to paint the porch and do my annual grinding and repainting of the waterer (its heated and the horses depend on it during the winter). Starting to build up the burn pile again, in anticipation of our first fall bonfire!

Regarding National Chocolate Milkshake Day, I was reading in the Sunday newspaper (Parade Magazine) that they're called milkshakes by most of the country. However, in MA, I grew up with them being called frappes. In Rhode Island, they were referred to as "cabinets" -- @Nemo14 , did you ever hear of that term before in RI for milkshakes?!
