No, you can't see it in that picture, but there was a belt wrapped around the fan shaft that was attached to a hamster wheel. On a hot day we would easily go through over 100 hamsters. But, on the plus side... they cooked up real fine!

Not impressed with the bone to meat ratio in hamsters. Just like quail and squab - too much work.

I agree... they are sorta like crayfish... it takes that many to make half a meal. I'm glad you reminded me because I was wondering, is squab just a fancy name for pigeon?

You're not that far off from me!!! When it got into the high 90s during the summers in Canada when I was a kid...I got mad. That was not the reason I left the summers of Texas for! 80's are nice...mid to high 90's...booo

I don't know why exactly, but, I do find it humorous (or humourous for our Cananadian friends that it is warmer in Canada then in the south. Good thing that there are no climate changes happening isn't it.

I just got back from having my passport photos taken at CAA. Oh my word, they are hideous! (No photo proof will be forthcoming!)

On the plus side, I'm going for the 10-year renewal, so in 2026, when I am one year shy of 60, I'm going to think my 49-year old self looks damn fine.

Or not. It's a really bad picture.

ID pictures are supposed to look hideous. If your photo didn't look awful, your passport would appear fraudulent.
