I think it depends on the state where you live. Most of our stores were closed on the 4th. Pharmacies and little convenience stores were open here and there, but that was it.

Again, depending upon the state's rules for what businesses can remain open (MA has a number of "blue" laws on the books), and also whether the individual merchants want to give the day off to their employees--some stores remain open while others close.
However, I've never seen stores close on Good Friday, and Easter is about a 50/50, and entirely up to the merchants on those two, because they're religious holidays.
The only two national holidays that are fairly consistent for most businesses closing down, are the 4th of July and Christmas Day.

Speaking of the 4th festivities, for those of you who missed it, here's a news link to the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest (100th anniversary) on Coney Island yesterday. Joey Chestnut, 32 years old, won the title by eating 70 hot dogs AND hot dog buns in 10 minutes.

Watching the contest has been a family tradition for countless years. Imagine my surprise yesterday to realize that the LIVE event was on ESPN3....the ONE ESPN that my cable carrier does not carry. We use it to go get dinner and drinks and not have to worry about parking and having a bit too many. So much nicer than the local cabs.The article says if you have Uber you're probably single. I just got Uber on my phone recently, because my wife installed it.

I didn't get it.
They font and background are different. The first one is plain text with a plain, blue background, so for that one I read it without expression. The second one had a different expression to it.

It seems to be more accurate than I would have thought, especially on gender. For you they got 3 out of 4: they knew you're single, male and under 32.
Oh right. I forgot they did gender.
