On the theme of this movie thing, here are some food pictures from my lunch at the brown derby. I did the dine with an imagineer and it was great!
Beef fillet

Dessert trio, grapefruit cake (kind of icky), crime brûlée (great), and a chocolate mousse cake with apricot filling (yummy).

(If I might break briefly from our multi-day shark discussion here, but just for a moment -- )

Wow. :jawdrop: I'd really like to experience, Dine with an Imagineer, but it's hard to get a reservation so never went. (I did try a walk-in once, but was told there were no seats available, even for just 1 person.) Oh well. Question: do they still give the guests a special plate with your name on it? I read about that a few years ago and was wondering if they still do that. Glad you had a great time!!

We did it a couple of years ago (a Christmas present from our kids), and enjoyed it. We got the plate then, which he signed.

When the kids were younger, we always went to FL for a week with my brother's family. So every Christmas, we'd give them each a ticket for some "experience" on our trip (we did Cirque tickets one year, Hoop-Dee-Do tickets another, an Epcot Fireworks cruise one year, an airboat ride once, etc.) so our kids now do it for us. This year they gave us tickets to the Cirque show Kurios up your way, other times it has been concert tickets or whatever. It's always fun!

It is an awesome experience. I did get a plate that was signed and dated by the imagineer. We got a personalized menu. I will have more info in my trip report.

Maybe they had to open Soarin' just prior to the opening of Frozen, because they already knew that Frozen still wasn't quite ready for prime time . . . ;)
I wonder what it's going to be like next week over the July 4th holiday...with crowds flocking in to ride the new ride, but unaware of the downtime issues.

Let us all pause for a brief moment of silence, to honor any CM's who happen to be in that area of World Showcase next week.

Agree. I give a lot of credit to the front-line CMs working under that type of pressure, not to mention the intense heat and humidity down there.

(So glad I went to WDW in May, before any of this craziness began. Heck, even Soarin' wasn't open at that time, and The Land was peaceful and pleasant with low crowds. Reminded me of years ago, prior to Soarin', and The Land was one of the most relaxing pavilions there.)

Sharknadou 1867 - this time, it's Canadian.

(Geesh, you miss one little notification, and three pages of fun passes you by.)
That one should be interesting. Would they all be polite? Maybe ask if it's OK to eat you before they do it? And after they will tell everyone what their favourite one was.
It would be the one that tasted the most like Maple Syrup and Coffee Crisp. Oh, yes... and a little like a Molson Light!
