It's now LegoLand!

No way!! I knew that Cypress Gardens was sold some years ago, but was unaware of what became of it. I just assumed they built homes or an office complex. I just looked up the site online--not my cup of tea . . .

Doesn't it bother you that he has sold out? It bothered me, but, I guess a guy's got to make a living, so I'll let it ride. Makes me wonder what happened to the hard *** rock stars. Got old, I guess. I'm glad that I stayed hard as nails and never sold out to commercialism. Of course, it helped that no one ever asked me... but still!

I always wanted to visit the Bok Tower Gardens--that's another pretty place. Ages ago, my mother and I visited Cypress Gardens. That was so pretty. I recall they had shows, too--water skiing, if I recall correctly, was one of them.

I went to Bok and the place was so relaxing that I sat on a bench under a huge Live Oak complete with Spanish Moss and promptly fell asleep. Best day ever.

From what I understand... Legoland kept the gardens and still display them. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but, I know that was the plan. I haven't been since it became Legoland. The park itself is probably not an ideal adult experience, but, the gardens were always a place to go for an old person like me.

I'm so sorry the hear that. We hadn't been there for years. Because we moved to Colorado. I loved the pretty lady's in their beautiful dresses skiing. It was such a nice place, with the lady's in their fancy dresses. Those were good times.

Quick hello - had another awesome day here. Unfortunately I can't post any pictures because for some reason my camera can't connect with the internet here. Maybe tomorrow after we get back home.

We're heading to the I-Hop next door for a quick bite, then calling it a night since we have to get up at 4 tomorrow morning.

We've been touring the countries and trying the different festival small plates. My favorite is the smokehouse in America and the flan dessert in Mexico. America had the best beer sampler too.
