So you all know I'm a somewhat superstitious sports fan. Well, I figured out what happened to the Mets on Saturday night:
My mother in law went on another cruise (sans her new stripper BFF) and I went to her house Saturday to pick up the dumb bird. On Sunday, the cage was looking a bit gross, so I decided to change the newspaper. Well, imagine my horror when I removed the paper and found that the bird had literally been s**ting all over the Mets victory headline from Friday night. No wonder they lost Saturday. Poor Tejada - it wasn't Utley's fault, it was Spunky! Anyway, thank goodness I righted the ship before things got even more out of hand.
