Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I have Sorcerer Mickey.

@Nemo14 probably has this one...

Up at 8:00. Should have/could have slept until 8:30, given that we showered last night.! Oh well.

OOP breakfast ADR's at Kona. Ski barely remembers the Poly, which is weird, given that he was 12 the last time we were here.

As to the new lobby. I like it just fine. The waterfall was nice, but the further away my memory gets from it, the more I remember it being a smidge tacky - although I never thought so at the time.

Beverages - coffee all around. OJ for hubby, Liloka'i juice for the kids, water for me.

Mike ordered the Big Kahuna, same as always.
image.jpg

The rest of us ordered the exact same thing; macadamia nut pancakes, two with sausage, one with bacon.
image.jpg
While I love sausages, I keep forgetting that I do not like Kona sausages. I swapped one out for a piece of Hubby's bacon.

We did a little walk-about, but truly it was too hot, and the kids were antsy to get to Typhoon Lagoon.

I really like how Disney Springs is coming together. Still a lot of walls, but so much nicer than last year, and I can really get a feel for the vision they have.

I'd never understood where the food trucks were, but as soon as I saw them, the penny dropped. For those equally confused - to the right of Bongos, left of the new Starbuckies. For some reason, I thought there were four of them.

The amphicars. Very cool.

I bought a new pair of flip flops at Sanuk, as the pair I brought just might decide to give up the ghost mid-trip, and I neglected to bring a spare pair.

Dropped almost $250 at World of Disney on 4 pairs of sleep pants/track pants for Son #1, a funky shirt for Mike, and 4 of the promotional beach towels.

Back in the room getting ready for pool time.
Lego pics later. Everyone loves Legos!
(Except in bare feet at 3:00 in the morning. :joyfull:)

We didn't do Kona Café this trip, but their breakfast is on my list for next time. I'm ordering Tonga Toast, the 100% Kona coffee, and the old lobby.

I just added up the receipts from our trip. We had a TS meal every day but one, but we still would have spent about $1000 more on food if we had bought the DDP. As I've always said the DDP is great when it's free but I'd never pay for it.

Give me % off over "free" DDP any day. My wallet and my waistline agree.

If I can't find the two Up/house balloon prints I want, I might settle for two of these:

Swimming was a total bust. I haven't been swimming in at least three years. We walked into the pool (soooooo warm, no tip-toeing in, baby steps at a time necessary), and literally 30 seconds later they blew the whistle to clear the pool. The storm blew in within 10 minutes, and it was a doozie.

The kids rolled back in to their rooms at the same time we finally made it back.
Free time until 4:00, carry on.

That pretty much happened to us once last trip and twice this trip.

Our first (with kids) trip was in July - my parents, my family and my sister's family all went. My husband had never been to Florida in the summer. My sister and I had been many times since my grandparents lived there and we visited them twice a year growing up. We had decided to go in the pool one afternoon and when we got to the room the sky turned black and started raining buckets. My sister and I were un-phased, continuing to get the kids in their bathing suits and sun-screened for the pool. My husband said, "you know it's raining - we can't swim now". My sister and I looked at each other, laughed, and said by the time we are done getting ready the storm will be gone. And by the time we got down to the pool it was sunny. And that's the story of how hubby learned about Florida weather. Not quite a exciting as the Purple Wombat, but it's all I got.

I'm going to need that Class of '77 shirt. Good thing I have the Disney Parks shopping app.

Wrong. Better than the purple wombat story. Way better.
