Sasha is at an adoption event today. She's so sweet - I hope someone takes her home. And not just because that would mean I'm back to two!

I'm sure she will be. As long as they like a sweet, cuddly dog, they will love her. It's weird - I'm not entirely all happy. There's a pang of "I'm going to miss her". It's just a pang - and a small one at that - but it is definitely there.

No, but seriously, I love this part: "The study did show some predictable negative impacts of sarcasm. Namely its propensity to instigate conflict between people with limited rapport. So, all we have to do is trust everyone on the internet and bam, no more conflict and lots more creativity. Should be easy enough, right?

This thread has been around for more than 6 months and has been remarkably free of the conflicts and misunderstandings that regularly arise on some others.
I guess you can read something and assume the best or worst meaning. Unfortunately, sometimes when you assume the worst, that may not have been the meaning that was intended. I prefer to give others the benefit of the doubt and assume that most of the folks on the thraed are decent folk and are just having fun. But, I do have a sense of humor and it's obvious that you all do too!
