is there anything the healthcare provider can do like melatonin ?I wish I could...
Is it worse this year then last? Probably a silly question!so much for getting sleep tonight...
Last year the waking up all night was not an issue. She slept well once we'd get her to bed, and she'd sleep til around 6 or so. The year before we had issues because she had fallen and broken a couple of ribs, so we had to keep her in pain pills. This is just another progression in the journey I guess, but it's difficult to maintain my sanity (what little I have left) with so little sleep. To top it off, DH has been sick with a cold so he hasn't been able to give me a break either. Once he's back to healthy, we'll alternate nights of being up with her, and that should help a lot.Is it worse this year then last? Probably a silly question!
She slept all night!!!
Well, for one thing, she stayed awake all day. I found old episodes of "Murder She Wrote" on Netflix, and "Keeping Up Appearances" on the Roku PBS channel, and she loved seeing them again. We also gave her coffee in the morning (she's not supposed to have much of that), and when she mentioned her knee aching last night, I may have given her a pain reliever...Did you do anything you can replicate tonight?
Perhaps her knee needs more attention from those pain killers.Well, for one thing, she stayed awake all day. No, I don't want to do that very often (and it was a prescribed med for her), but it was a welcome break for us.Perhaps her knee needs more attention from those pain killers.
Yeah...I guess you really don't want an addicted mother. Pain killers can be very addicting. No, I don't want to do that very often (and it was a prescribed med for her), but it was a welcome break for us.
Are there any sleeping meds that are prescription or over the counter that won't cause any issues with the other medications she is taking? No, I don't want to do that very often (and it was a prescribed med for her), but it was a welcome break for us.
I'm not sure - I'm hoping that this will kind of get her back on schedule of sleeping at night and staying awake during the day. We shall see!Are there any sleeping meds that are prescription or over the counter that won't cause any issues with the other medications she is taking?
