functioning on 90 minutes of sleep...
She was calling us in her room every half hour from 10 pm to 4:30 AM. I finally got to sleep at 5 and slept til 6:30. I know she doesn't mean it, but she has no idea of what time of day or night it is or when she's supposed to be awake. It's got to be pretty scary for her.I'm sorry to hear that.
Did she keep you up all night or did you go out partying last night?
Does she have a clock, and can she tell whether it's light or dark outside? She was calling us in her room every half hour from 10 pm to 4:30 AM. I finally got to sleep at 5 and slept til 6:30. She has a clock and a watch, but the thing is she doesn't comprehend that 3 AM is the middle of the night, whether it's dark or not. My sister had set up a computer screen for her that displayed the day, date, and time (AM or PM) in huge numbers and letters across the screen when she stayed with her last fall, but that only appeased her for a couple of nights. It's just how she is, anxiety sets in around 7 pm and lasts all night. She has a couple of visitors coming today, (she doesn't know that yet) so hopefully that will wear her out enough that she'll sleep well tonight.Does she have a clock, and can she tell whether it's light or dark outside?
You need to start feeding her lots of turkey and Sleepytime Tea.She has a clock and a watch, but the thing is she doesn't comprehend that 3 AM is the middle of the night, whether it's dark or not.
