Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Guess who is finally reading Jurassic Park!!! So far it's way different than the movie. I'm to the part where they just got to the island.
I’ve never seen the “Park” movies, just the “Worlds”, but I did read Crichton’s second “Jurassic” book.

I’m really a fan of his writing. He was a pretty interesting dude

I still have one more day in the office, but I changed my LinkedIn profile on the way home from work today.

I’ve closed out sites before, but this is different. I’m walking away from this one.

Same feeling of relief, but significantly lighter pockets, and no sense of a job well done.

C’est la vie. The failure of this project is not on me.

Yep, take what you’ve learned from the experience with you into the future, but no looking back beyond that, as it’ll only impede your forward progress.

So, yesterday was my last day. I kept thinking I should feel something, but alas, I did not.
I have worked for this company for 8 1/2 years, been good friends with the owner for at least twice that. Nothing.

Sadly Mike has to work four more days. We’re both off today, and it’s sort&packapalooza day. Tomorrow too.

I sent a quick text last night to my former manager (who left this company three years ago) to thank her and let her know that I had taken her up on her offer to be a reference and to hopefully expect a call from K.A. … and son of a gun if SHE didn’t offer me a job! (It’s a far commute, and I’m not sure if I want to get into that again.)

But still, she’s working on a compensation structure for me, and I’ll give it due consideration if nothing happens with the jobs Mike and I applied to last week.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Be blessed.

I’m a little late and playing “ketchup”, but continued prayers, the best of luck, and blessings to both of y’all, as well…!!! :)

Awesome…!!!!!!! :joyfull:
Funny thing is, shortly after we bought Carolyn a new (to her) car back in February of last year, and I received hers (yet again ;)) as a hand-me-down, I cleaned out the trunk.
I ran across one of her old purses…and found a bank envelope with $440 in it…!!!!!:hilarious:
I walked in the house and, while handing her the envelope, smiled and asked “Honey, did you by some chance lose something…???”
Yes. Yes she had…!!!!! 😁🤣
I thought she was gonna’ fall over…!!!!! :hilarious:
It was actually money that was gifted by her mother for us to spend, as we saw fit, on our October of ‘23 WDW trip…she was too embarrassed to tell her mother or I that she had lost it, but, boy howdy, was I ever the hero that day…!!!!! 😅;):)

Rewind to my birthday last Friday and the Zoom interview I had in my car on a tree lined street that I used to live on 54 years ago ….

Mike interviewed for the same position a few days prior. He said to them, please hurry up and hire me, because once you meet my wife, I won’t have a chance!

I. Got. The. Job!

And Blessing #2 - they’re hiring two people - a main salesperson and a part-time support person (which is expected to quickly evolve into full time as well). Mike got hired too!

And yes, it’s in new home sales - because as I said, that’s all I know!

I would have preferred him to get the lead position and me to be the support, but either way, Thank you, Lord, they want us both.

The site will be less than 10 km from where we’re moving! I am so excited. This is the perfect position for both of us! We start in a few weeks.

God didn’t open one door, He opened two!
