Most often sugar free was KIXDidn't get to eat any fun cereals that had sugar in them growing up. My brother was a SUPER hyperactive child. Of course, this was back in the early 70's before AD/HD was a thing. Mom would look at the labels and anything that had sugar listed first was a no-go growing up.
Yep, those look familiar....that and Life CerealMost often sugar free was KIX

Sometimes, I like cinnamon toast crunch cereal. Great flavor and sweet, but not overly sweet.

The only "fun" cereal I ever liked was Lucky Charms, but that was mostly for the marshmallows. My favorite was Cheerios (regular or honey nut), Rice Krispies were okay but a little blah. Once Honey Bunches of Oats with clusters and almonds came out that rivaled Cheerios as a favorite, I liked the clusters of oats and the nuts. The only other cereals my mom bought was cornflakes, Frosted Flakes, and Grape Nuts and I didn't like any of those. Oh I think she got Captain Crunch and Apple Jacks occasionally but I didn't like those but my sister did.
So if you were hypothetically getting a porch goose for your classroom, and you wanted its name to be a play on the name "Gustavo", how would you spell it:
Goostavo or Goosetavo?
Asking for a friend.
That's what I... I mean, my friend... is leaning towards. And my friend... may have ordered one tonight because they were on sale.I’d go with Goosetavo
Question: You're teaching first graders correct? Would first graders even know what a porch goose is enough to get the connection. I mean I'm a little past first grade age and I never heard of them until I read your post and looked it up. Of course, I've lead a pretty sheltered life so I might just have never come up, but Goosetavo is a good name for a goose anyway. So if you were hypothetically getting a porch goose for your classroom, and you wanted its name to be a play on the name "Gustavo", how would you spell it:

I didn't know what they are until this summer, but apparently they were popular in the 80s & 90s, and they're making a comeback. And there's a teacher trend of getting them for the classroom to use as a "mascot" type of thing. I think they're ridiculous, but in a good way. I envision it being a way to build classroom community and just have fun. I also plan to use it as a motivator. I foresee myself saying, "Guys, Goosetavo is waiting for you to be quiet" quite a bit. It's just a silly thing to have fun with.Question: You're teaching first graders correct? Would first graders even know what a porch goose is enough to get the connection. I got a pack on Amazon that includes something for each major holiday, so I have something for the whole year, except I'll have to figure something out for May. I thought about just getting a cheap inner tube from the Dollar Tree and putting it around the neck. I also got a pajama outfit for when we do pajama days.I had to look up what a porch goose was, I had an idea but I wanted to make sure. When I looked it up it seems that there are outfits for them you could buy for them. Are you going to have outfits?

It's a bit pricey when you add everything up, but I mainly used donations for it. My aunt gave me $50 when I put out my class Amazon wishlist and told me to use it however I want for my classroom. And then I had some gift cards students gave me as gifts last year. I like to hold onto those and use them for something classroom related, rather than personally.
