Wow...you've seen a lot!
I didn't think crowds were bad in June, but they were in March. I think it's a combination of factors, but I think a lot of people are waiting because there's nothing new right now. I think 2026/27 will be busier.

A few times last night (although it stopped by 10 PM), I looked out the front door, toward the area of the large booms . . .
Wanted to make sure that the imbeciles weren't setting the neighborhood on fire, with flying sparks from the fireworks.

Some future day maybe my wife's sister's family and the two of us can become a group of 7 on a Disney Cruise sailing out of Singapore. We are in a mall that is promoting Disney Cruises.

We arrived back at the Port of Galveston around 6a CDT, after a doozy (in a great way ) of a cruise…!!!!!!! 
I’ll post more when we get in the car for the drive home, but I’ll leave y’all with this…
The kids (Megan, Daniel, Emmy and Audrey) received, not only, a $150 gift card, but, eventually, a full refund (minus prepaid gratuity) of their entire trip, to the tune of $4,300+ CASH money…!!!!!!!
The best part is, nobody got injured, sick, etc., etc., etc.
No cruise credit, no back on the credit card, etc….straight-up cash…!!!!!
I, obviously, haven’t had time to “ketchup”, but will give it my best shot this coming week…hope you’re all well, and I’ll see y’all a little later…!!!

That's so exciting!! Congratulations! Do they live near you? Will you be able to see her when she's born or will you have to wait for a school vacation to travel?
They're about 1.5 hours away from where I live, and about 1 hour from where I work. So I'll be able to see her.

Looks like I responded to a coupla’ posts I already had…hey, it can happen when you’ve been outta’ pocket for a week…!!!
I would have posted sooner, but AT&T does not serve Roatan (Honduras), and although it does serve Mexico (Costa Maya and Cozumel), the
problem was there were 3 other ships in port of similar size to ours each day, in those places.
As an example, our ship (the Carnival Jubilee holds a max. of 6,631 guests and 1,745 crew.
There were 6,400 guests on our boat, according to our Cruise Director.
Tryin’ to get any kinda’ decent internet connection in either port was futile.
No biggie though, as long as my iPhone camera is workin’ properly I’m good to go…!!!

@donaldtoo , glad to hear that your cruise was fun. Looking forward to any pictures (FOOD!

On another topic, I've been watching the news about the devastating flash flooding in Texas. Sometimes, the news/weather people show a large block area on the map, and it looked (a little) like some of Austin might have been caught in some of the storms. (Hoping your specific area wasn't affected.)
