Wimpy temps here today 😞;), but plenty of days in July and August will be in the 105’s+ with “real feels” in the 120’s, as per usual…!!! :)

A coupla’ years ago, I was reading a TR on this site. The member had posted some pics of Galaxy’s Edge.
All of a sudden, I was all WTH…?!?!?! The spaceship on top of one of the buildings reminded me of a certain Disney character. When I pointed it out in the TR thread, several people were all “OMG, now I’ll never be able to unsee that…!!!!! 🫣
Has anyone else here ever noticed this before…?! 🤔
I coined a name for the spaceship…meet ”Roz of the Resistance”…!!!!! :hilarious:

To the teachers on here. Is having Doordash/GrubHub/Uber to school a thing?

I was reading Reddit and apparently students are ordering lunch through the apps.

I know it doesn't happen at my old high school because my mom would be complaining about it. She works in the bubble. I tell her to retire all time if she doesn't like it but she wants one or two more years for the money. Unlike the younger people, she will get socially security.
Not in an elementary, obviously, but my mom just retired from teaching high school, and she said kids would.

Also, sorry for the late response. I missed a notification while I was in Florida and am skimming/catching up.

Over here, the kids are usually allowed to leave campus and the schools are all close to a grocery store...there are no school lunches over here. But my son went to a special education school for kids with Autism and/or ADHD, and they weren't allowed to leave school. They DID order pizza once and tried to have it delivered through the window to their classroom, but the delivery person wouldn't do it.
I should clarify that they had permission from the teacher to do this. Their classroom was on the ground floor and the windows faced the street. The classes have a max of 10 kids in them, so it's a really small close-knit group and they keep the same teacher all day pretty much. There are a couple of classes that they need a specialist for, but then the teachers go between rooms and the kids stay put. So things like ordering food are easier, and while it's a very structured atmosphere, it's also pretty relaxed. They just agreed one day to order pizza and figured it would be easier for the delivery person to shove it through the window rather than going all the way around and through the school, but for some reason the guy thought it was weird. It wasn't like a prank on the teacher or anything.

If you've been following my TR, you know my internet has been down since I got back. The guy came this morning. Turns out my connection got unplugged down in the electrical room. He thinks it's because it was hooked up in the wrong port, so when someone else got theirs hooked up, they unplugged mine. So I was without internet for four days because of that. 🙃
