I’m a day late with this, but…
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the release of the movie “Jaws”, on June 20th, 1975…!!!
A few “Jaws” tidbits…
The budget for the movie was $9 million.
Roy Schneider (Chief Brody) was paid $500,000.
The box office was $477.9 million.

I've seen a few minutes of the movie but that was enough for me
I’ve posted this before, but the movie came out when we still lived in No Cal. After the family across the street saw the movie, the wife wouldn’t go back in their swimming pool for about 2 months…!!!!!
I Googled our old address and the pool pictured was theirs (they haven’t lived in the house for over 50 years).
Fresh water with chlorine, and I’m pretty sure you could spot a 3” toe-nibbling shark at first glance in there, so a 25’ foot man-eater is gonna’ be beyond obvious…!!!!!

Yesterday, we celebrated Audrey’s 4th birthday a little early…!!! 
It’s actually this coming Saturday, but we’ll be driving to Galveston for the first day of our next cruise on that day (this will be our 6th)…!!!!!!!
The brunch “taco bar”…
Fruit, flour tortillas crisped-up on the gas burners, cheese, bacon, guac, roasted red pepper salsa, scrambled eggs, potatoes and pulled pork…!!!!!
It was a “Hello Kitty”-themed party….!!!
I forgot to take a pic of my first plate
, so, my lame second plate…!!!
And, a slice of the vegan strawberry layer cake that Megan made…!!!!!
On a side note…
We all joked about how the first vegan cake Megan made years ago was, well…….not good…!!!!!
In the last several years though, they’ve been as good as any non-vegan cakes I’ve ever had, if not better…not kidding…!!!!!
Time for presents…!!!!!!!
After that, we headed to the ice skating rink (they had been ice skating on an RCCL cruise they took back in April of ‘23) only to find that there was no public skating until after 6p…
Plan “B”…
We headed to the roller rink a coupla’ miles down the road…!!!
Some history about the roller rink…
This is the same roller rink I used to skate at when I was in high school, and shortly thereafter.
It originally had 2 large rinks. Back when roller skating started to wane, they sold off about a third of the space to an antique store.
Not all that long ago, they reacquired that space, and along with the school cafeteria-type seating they have for birthday parties, they also now have a very stylish bar & grill, an arcade, bowling lanes, axe throwing, and some other fun stuff…!!!
I had it in my mind that the place had closed years ago, so it was a very pleasant surprise to see that not only was it still around, but it had been “plussed”…!!!
Anyway, Emmy and Audrey had never been roller skating before, so they needed a little assistance, via the contraptions pictured below…!!!!! 
And, a pic of the giant skate and neon hanging over the center of the rink…!!!!!
As per usual, more great family time…!!!!!

A coupla’ years ago, I was reading a TR on this site. The member had posted some pics of Galaxy’s Edge.
All of a sudden, I was all WTH…?!?!?! The spaceship on top of one of the buildings reminded me of a certain Disney character. When I pointed it out in the TR thread, several people were all “OMG, now I’ll never be able to unsee that…!!!!!

I coined a name for the spaceship…meet ”Roz of the Resistance”…!!!!!
