Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I don’t need to tell you what that means. It’s going to be a rough few months.

Devastating news for everyone, but I can’t even begin to imagine how your parents feel. ((Hugs)) to all.

That's rough, and very sad news for your family. Hoping his medical team can keep him comfortable, at least, for the duration.

Thank you both.
He’s a fighter, like the rest of us are, but I’m still not exactly clear on what the specific plan is, and he may not be either, but he’s keeping things close to the vest, so to speak. That’s always been his way.
It’s not about my sorry butt, but I’m just tryin’ to maintain, at this point. We’re tough, but yes, Mom is taking it very hard. She doesn’t want to have to bury a child before her…and Pop, although more stoic, is same, of course.
We’ve lost so many family members recently.
He and his wife have two children. Their son is the oldest, and he has a good career after college.
Their daughter was going to postpone grad school for a year, but he/his wife insisted she continue with her law studies a Duke University. She already has an undergraduate degree from The University of Texas.
We’ve had so much good family time over the years (as y’all’ve seen me post), but man, we’re gettin’ rocked a bit now, to say the least.
I’m more than grateful to God for the time we’ve had, and I’m not having a pity party, because others have dealt with much worse, but it’s still all a bit painful.

Did anyone watch Molly (former allears) touring Epic Universe? I watched for a minute but couldn't believe she was sobbing over a theme park and shut it off.
Why is that any different than an adult getting all emotional when they first see the Plastic Castle at the end of Main Street USA? Or adults having a child like reaction to a M&G with a college student with a foam head and Mickey costume. I don't understand it, but I'm not them. People have different obsessions but as long as it isn't harming anyone, why should it make any difference to others.

Weird day yesterday. About 1:04pm I got a call and voice mail from Publishers Clearing House informing me that I was the winner of 18.5 million dollars, $5000. per month for the next two years and a brand new Mercedes Benz. The young lady was calling from Barnegat, NJ (or possible AI something) told me all I had to do is call a number and they would get the information that they needed to process my winnings.

If you think that is lucky, at 1:05pm I received the exact same voice message from the same (whatever) calling from Bernardsville, NJ.

Now I am not familiar with NJ but unless those two city's are in the same building I am suspicious. I went on line to PCH to see if they were aware of any such prize that they were willing to give me when I hadn't ever entered any contest. They didn't actually come out and admit that someone was pulling a con, but went about describing what would have happened if someone, (not me I hadn't entered) did win. This was probably the worst attempt I had ever witnessed of attempted robbery.

Anyway for a short period of time I was stinking rich and it felt great. Fortunately, I hadn't made the call to order my 100 foot yacht yet.

I was amused by the idea that if they were giving me 18.5 million, why did they think I would need the $5000 a month for two years extra or even the car. I managed to transition seamlessly from Pauper to Rich and back to Pauper within 10 minutes.

Sageteer Friends, I'm just not very good at sadness and grief. I've had enough of it, so I tend to not acknowledge, just pull into my shell. If I don't reply to or quote posts where you share bad news, it doesn't mean I don't sympathize, it just means I maybe sympathize too much and I just shut down.

That said, @donaldtoo I'm heartbroken for you. I lost my only brother to 9/11 related lung cancer, it will be 10 years this July. I can't tell you how it pained me to read your post about your brother having the same disease, after all the blows your family has suffered over the past month or so...you are a man of faith, and I know that will see you through. I'm sorry that all I did was "react" to your posts without offering any support. Just promise me you'll never share that Wet Willie (Nelson) image ever again. 🤣

@JenniferS girlfriend, you've been through it with the winter weather destruction and so much else. Even though all I've done is offered 👍or 😍 I'm sending positive thoughts, vibes, prayers, whatever to you. You rock.

Sageteer Schoolteachers, @PUSH and @ajrwdwgirl you keep on keepin' on, educating the next generations.

@Figgy1 we got the redhead thing going on.

Everyone else, we do what we do to get through the day.

@MinnieM123 I still aspire to be as kind of a human being as you are. You bring positivity, every day.

:hilarious: To that Wet Willie part…you really made me laugh…!!!!! 🤣
Thank you, and no worries.
I really hesitate to share things like that many times, but I also have had many tell me that that is what we do here sometimes, and I hate pretending everything in our life is perfect, although, it hasn’t been bad, compared to others, by any means. I don’t even know if that made any sense, but I appreciate your post very much, and completely understand your sentiment.
Thank you so very much for your kind and thoughtful response…!!! :)

and I fell back down the curly hair rabbit hole today. James got his hair cut about a month ago and he's starting to look like Shaun White again

I'm glad I made you laugh. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

Don't ever hesitate to share. Sharing is what's made WDWMagic's community what it is. ❤️ And it is a good community, of great people from all over, making friendships, even though the friendships are mostly virtual.

I used to travel to TX often for work...I'm tempted to buy a ticket just to give you a hug.
