Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, or if any of you are interested (although I think that @Eric1955 and @ajrwdwgirl might want to know about this), but on ABC on Sunday, February 21, at 8 p.m. (Eastern), you can see "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60" celebrating 60 years since Walt Disney first opened the gates to Disneyland.

What I'm hoping for is a nicely-done show that really focuses on all the attractions and history of the park (those alone, are plenty of advertising for Disney). What I don't want to see are a bunch of "tween" entertainers, and DVC ads monopolizing the show. A balance of Disneyland history, and a variety of entertainers to appeal to all ages, would make for a great tv special. (I hope they don't mess this up.)

The entire forum is freaking out on N&R with the recent mention of you know what. Not telling DW as I don't want her to go into our April trip with a mindset that it's going to be a disaster. I'm sure at the end she will make judgments on her own as she typically does but she never talks about those kinds of things during a trip.

Talking about the cuts, or is there something new?

DW is insisting that if we move to the city where my parents live, we need to move into their neighborhood. I tell her, "have you seen everybody loves Raymond? You want to make the same mistake Deborah did?"
Is your mom at all like Marie?

Our current home is three blocks away from where Hubby's mom lived. She was not one to "visit", so my boys used to drop in to her place for milk and cookies a couple of times/week; in addition to our weekly Sunday evening visit.

As long as they're not in the same house (which can actually be okay too), you can never be too close to loving family. :)

My kids were completely grandparent-less by the ages 15 and 16. :(

No. I'm joking with her. My mom isn't like Marie. I think...well I know DW is tired of being away from family, as since we have had the kid, no one really lives around us. Parents are currently a 5 hour drive. Sister is 4 hours away. I think she just wants to be close to family when we get the opportunity.

I haven't kept up on all the talk, so all I know is of cuts and the reason why. Definitely depressing, especially when thinking of the CMs and how much less productive things will be with the lack of them. Seems like an issue that could and should have been avoided.

Yeah. It is a bit sad. I am going to go through my trip as I normally do and see if I feel any impact. Not going to go out of my way to find things that suck. Haha
