So here's the partial view of illuminations from the balcony:
It's just enough for the kids to ooh and aah. We can see some distant fireworks from Wishes in the other direction.
We also went up to the 4th floor to see what all the ruckus is and part of the floor is finished - new carpets and paint scheme - and there is a fake wall blocking the hall to go towards our room but the door was ajar so we peeked through the crack and saw bare concrete and lots of decoration type stuff lined up in the wall.

So we talked to the condo management company this morning and caught them in an outright lie.
They have no other place available to put us, so they offered to refund our $$$ entirely if we choose to leave or give us back $150 if we choose to stay. We're disappointed, but staying because we really do love this development. Here's a few reasons why:
Haven't seen my gator yet, but it's a little windy out there today, so I assume he's hiding.

Thanks for posting the new lobby picture. It's nice, but no "wow" factor for me, like the original lobby. I hope you and your family enjoy your dinner at Ohana, and have a wonderful vacation.
I never thought it was ugly or bad to begin with. It's pretty nice just not as nice as before.

Thanks Minnie! It's been great so far - we've packed a lot into 2 1/2 days so feel like we've been here longer than that and still have until Saturday.
