Technically it's only 2/3 of the way across town. Our population is 11,000 with college students and around 4,000 when they're gone.

Legally. When you factor in NJ drivers think it's normal to drive 90 on the shoulder it becomes doable.

Where I live it is a bunch of small towns densely packed together. Each is the size of a neighborhood in a normal sized town.
