They are reporting that Twitter basically went dead last night during the premiere of the trailer last night. And then afterward it exploded. It has captured everyone's imagination for sure.

There was also the most amazing sunset when I drove home around 6:05. I took a picture, but it looks like crap. Because a) sunsets usually don't turn out in pictures, and b) I was trying to drive.

About 6 years ago, we did a cheapie (approx. $5K) kitchen reno - professionally re-painted cabinets, including new hinges and hardware; new sink; new countertop; new flooring; and paint.
I also painted our backsplash, which had been hideous. It really needed a third coat and then I'd planned on painting in the grout lines.

And then my dad got sick, and then my mom moved in, and then a whole bunch more "and thens".

Hubby really wants to give me a whole new kitchen. I have zero interest in shelling out $25K to over-improve a perfectly functional kitchen.

As I've shared, I'm getting all new appliances (stainless steel) in the New Year. In the meantime, I hate that backsplash!

And hooray, hooray, Bosch has finally brought out a replacement for their discontinued 18" wide, tall tub dishwasher, and I will be pre-ordering mine tomorrow. So hopefully, it's buh-bye to this one:

Looks great. Our kitchen is going to undergo a little make-over soon too with new flooring, paint, counter tops and back splash. I am planning to get a similar tile design too.

My pest defense company just came out to treat the house. Little things like that make me happy. Plus it is cricket season and they were popping up everywhere!

Our bugs "died" for a few days but today it was nice out and all those Japanese beetles (fake ladybugs) were out and alive again.

And Facebook yesterday I saw a hot dog grilled cheese, and it looked amazingly delicious. I'm planning on making it sometime soon. That makes me a cook, right?

That looks wonderful. I could go for some soup right now, but hubby says it isn't cold enough yet. Apparently he wants snow on the ground before we have soup, I think soup for us will come before the snow!
