Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

About 6 years ago, we did a cheapie (approx. $5K) kitchen reno - professionally re-painted cabinets, including new hinges and hardware; new sink; new countertop; new flooring; and paint.
I also painted our backsplash, which had been hideous. It really needed a third coat and then I'd planned on painting in the grout lines.

And then my dad got sick, and then my mom moved in, and then a whole bunch more "and thens".

Hubby really wants to give me a whole new kitchen. I have zero interest in shelling out $25K to over-improve a perfectly functional kitchen.

As I've shared, I'm getting all new appliances (stainless steel) in the New Year. In the meantime, I hate that backsplash!

Behold, my $300/3-hour backsplash makeover.

And hooray, hooray, Bosch has finally brought out a replacement for their discontinued 18" wide, tall tub dishwasher, and I will be pre-ordering mine tomorrow. So hopefully, it's buh-bye to this one:

Our oven is almost identical to yours. The buttons are a bit differently placed, and I think the burners on the stove are slightly different, but at a quick glance it looks the same.

Same tea towel? 'Cause that's what really sets it off, don't you think?

We currently have a green towel with white, crossing stripes on it right now. Our kitchen has a green color-scheme. Sage green counter, and green valance, rug, and winder covering on our back door. Actually our dining room which is adjacent to the kitchen has green blinds, too, now that I think about it.

Nice backsplash! I like the mini subway tiles. Definitely adds pizzazz.

Oh, and I've always wanted to get one of those bread and banana thingies.

And we use that same sponge. We also had that Keurig, but for some reason it kept leaking, as well as the replacement, so we got a Cuisinart instead.

If you like sensor stuff, I'd recommend the Simple Human soap dispenser. I love ours: https://www.simplehuman.com/sensor-...ckel-8-fl-oz?gclid=CPn5nu6o0MgCFc5efgod5KEOeg

Just sharing kitchen thoughts...

Our stove is similar to yours, except the top is white and we have the convection oven, so extra buttons, and a fifth burner (a warming burner) in the back. Other than that, and the towel, identical!

Does Christmaus in Cananada begin in Septeumer?

Not counting your Brother...of course
Or late August, if you're Costco.
I went to Lowe's on Sunday - it was a veritable Christmas Wonderland!

On an unrelated note, it does not appear that we are getting the vibrantly hued red and orange leaves around here this year. A lot of trees simply turned yellow or brown and then dropped their leaves. :(

Same here....I have a Japanese Maple in the backyard and it's still green.
