Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
So I'm intrigued by these make ahead mashed potatoes with the cream cheese and the sour cream...do you just make up your mashed potatoes and put the cheese and sour cream in with some butter and milk and then put it in the crock pot? Mashed potatoes sound really good.
I make the mashed potatoes, with butter, sour cream and creamed cheese the day before. Then I put them in a buttered crock pot container, and stick them in the fridge overnight.
Next morning/day, you put them in the crock pot to warm up while you do the turkey, gravy, veg, etc.

Considering doing the potatoes is my least favourite part, it's nice to get it out of the way the day before.

There are quite a few recipes online. Almost all call for sour cream and creamed cheese, so they must be vital in some respect.

I'm glad we were here yesterday afternoon. It's about 20 degrees cooler today. There are dogs everywhere - about half of them greyhounds for some reason.

Despite my fear of any dog larger than what Hubby calls "puntable", greyhounds amaze me.
We met some at the Walden Galleria as part of a rescue project campaign, and I adored them. They were so gentle with me, as if sensing my fear.

The project co-ordinator referred to them as 45 mph couch potatoes.

This is my new favorite recipe for crock pot potatoes (no boiling!): http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-mak...cooker-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-212550

I love this stuff - it's been ages since I've had one. Perhaps @NYwdwfan could pick me up one while you're out, too? :D
I have a lazy-a** dessert recipe for angel food cake too.

1 - Tear a whole angel food cake into bite-sized chunks.
2 - Mix 2 packets of hot chocolate mix and 1/2 teaspoon of ground instant coffee granules (smoosh them between two spoons) into a large container of Cool Whip, and stir thoroughly.
3 - Layer the angel food cake chunks and chocolate cream into parfait glasses, finishing with the chocolate cream.
4- Top with a dollop of regular Cool Whip, and garnish with shaved chocolate or crushed Skor pieces.

10 minutes, beginning to end!

It's his way of qualifying any dog that can't actually significantly hurt me.
Whenever we're going to someone's house that have a dog, I always ask, "what kind?"
If the answer is "puntable", it's all good.

My fear of dogs is debilitating. Having been bitten/pinned twice (once by a Rottie, and once by a Shepherd), my fear is not entirely unfounded.

Got it. I didn't realize it was a term just for you. I had this image of him punting small doggies in the front yard and saying "it's good!" :p

And I'm so sorry about your terrible experiences with dogs. No one should ever go through something like that, especially when it's totally preventable with training, which unfortunately a lot of owners don't take responsibility for.
