'Tis the season.Wow, your weather is all over the place.
Generally the days can still be quite warm, but we are definitely into "turn the A/C off/open the damn window" temps at night.

I haven't been able to handle more than 5 minutes of Colbert since he started Tuesday.
Prior to December, I used to shut off the tv at 1:35, and then go up to read.
Once Craig left I started shutting off the tv at 12:30.
Sadly, my nightly news channel (Global) has picked up Colbert, and now the newscast ends at 11:35, rather than midnight.
You'd think that by going up to bed TWO HOURS earlier, I would actually be going to sleep earlier. Turns out - not so much. Now I'm just reading more.
(Starting to think that selling all my assets and closing down my Hay Day empire may not have been such a good idea.

So we went to our favorite restaurant last night. They had 2 large parties so they weren't doing their tasting menus which made us a little disappointed. So for appetizers I ordered pork belly with a watermelon and feta salad - that I dug into before remembering to grab a photo. Hubby got fresh crab, tuna and avocado. He has a photo of that. They also brought us stuffed potatoes compliments of the chef - I think they felt bad about saying they could not do the tasting menu. We were the only table we saw to get the potatoes. For dinner he got the lightly cured salmon with mussels and artichoke:
And I got lobster over a corn and chanterelle mushroom chowder. It looked On my way! Weird. It was really good though.
We were too stuffed for dessert.

Oh he absolutely got points for making the reservation. He then realized why 9/11 was standing out in his mind.

That's funny, in its own little way. We have a dear friend whose birthday is 9/11. Hard to forget his birthday now - no excuses.

One year my wife and I completely forgot our anniversary.

I always have to think about the year: '92 I got my first "real" job, '94 we bought the house, so we must have gotten married that year in between.

It is!! We're planning to go to Key West for our 15th though so we just did dinner this year.
