The Obamas must have cancelled so there was space for the next name on the list.Got up early to bake this morning for the cookout we're going to in a few hours, and were just invited to yesterday...![]()

I blame Meg.I have a deceptively busy day - it's really just a street fair where hubby is bringing the foster dog and **hopefully** he gets adopted and a party. But my daughter slept out so I need to get her at some point, plus I need to get to the supermarket for chips for the party, plus my son likes to go out for breakfast when my daughter sleeps out (she HATES going out to breakfast - which I find weird to be honest) and I need to practice my violin because I'm playing at an assisted living tomorrow plus my son's room needs to be cleaned really well because he was coughing last night so there must be dust!! So I have more to do than just go places but in my head I just have places to go.
I blame Meg.
BTW, my nephew is dating a girl named Meg, and she's quite nice. I just chuckle when I mention her name.
Her real name is Meaghan, but everyone calls her Meg.You could just change her name. That's what my mother in law does when she can't remember someone's name. She gives them a new one.

See - my mother in law would say, "I like Meaghan so I'm going to call you that". She's a bit - forceful - sometimes.![]()
Well she is sorry that the issue of her having her own email server confused people. But she's going to explain it so we can all understand and then things will be all better.I think she regrets a lot these days.
Those invites get store made.Got up early to bake this morning for the cookout we're going to in a few hours, and were just invited to yesterday...![]()
My mother in law called me "Jen".See - my mother in law would say, "I like Meaghan so I'm going to call you that". She's a bit - forceful - sometimes.![]()
My mother in law called me "Jen".
Hubby has a fairly big family, some of whom we only see once/year.
Those who knew me primarily through my MIL call me Jen; the family members who actually like me and know call me "Jennifer".
Hubby called me Jen earlier this summer and I nearly fainted! In almost 30 years, he has NEVER called me Jen. I did not like it. He has since done it twice more. He's lucky this marriage is not a game of baseball - that would have been his third strike!
For some reason, I liked my MIL calling me Jen. My hubby, not so much.
It only bugs me when Hubby does it. Dunno why.Lighten up Jen!![]()
I think I might have to start calling you Jerf now.It only bugs me when Hubby does it. Dunno why.
My mom always called me Jen.
My dad called me half a dozen pet/nicknames - Jen being one of them.
Two of my brothers call me Jennifer, the third always calls me "Jerf".
