Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

You are very wise to avoid your hypothetical and certainly possible scenario of slipping on the ice and having no one aware of it. On a more positive topic, want to share more about your "...move into a new place, hopefully late spring"?
Something from the Builder, assuming the timing works out. And the finances. We are 100% commission, and sales are still stagnant. The cupboard is bare.

@SteveBrickNJ - I think this was before your time here in Saget, but I did fall in December, 2018 while outside putting up Christmas decorations. I broke my leg and messed up my knee. Nobody knew I was out there and I laid in the snow until the cable guy going to the neighbour’s house saw me. “Whatcha doin’ there? Making snow angels?”

I also slipped on the ice at school when I was in grade 6, and was knocked unconscious and chipped my cheek bone. Did they call an ambulance? No, they sent me home in a cab, and my parents took me to the hospital when my dad got home. It was the 70’s … per the doctor - she’s conscious, she’s not throwing up, wake her up every hour overnight …. Concussions weren’t that big of a deal back then.

Also - as I’ve already shared, Gravity is not my friend. 😂

If you don’t follow Canadian politics, this may be a bit convoluted, but in a nutshell, the Conservatives are expected to win a HUGE majority, with the Liberals limping into third, maybe even fourth place.

Unfortunately the Official Opposition Party will most assuredly be the Bloc Québécois - a party that runs candidates in exactly ONE province, and is hellbent on the dissolution of Canada. (Let THEM become the 51st State - ROC is still happy being Canada.)
I don’t think we want Quebec - they don’t speak Englisch up there - they speak that crazy foreign language! ;)

I recall that time as well. (Although my parents and I didn't travel to Quebec during that period, the story was all over the news down here. I also remember the different flag that some flew -- think it had the fleur-de-lis pattern.)
That was/is generally the flag of the Parti Québécois. My wife's family were English. In fact, her father was born in London. Her mother was born in Newport, Vermont. When I first met my wife she was living in Vermont with a Green Card and was a registered nurse. Overtime both her brothers left Quebec. One went to Ontario and the other went to British Columbia to get away from it. It was such a contrast because just a couple years before Montreal welcomed the world to Expo 67. Everyone was welcome during that, but just a couple years later it was like a warzone.

That was the irony of the whole thing. The English culture was depicted as superior to the French culture and therefore kept the French under their thumb both socially and generally. However, because of that the province was bilingual. That is what made it so frustrating for people like myself. I hadn't held anyone down, I just didn't speak the language. Why should I, I didn't live there. We knew that everyone was bilingual, they had to be to survive yet refused to speak English. We knew that they were fluent in English. They always stated before and after that time that they could spot an American a mile away, so why the treatment.

It was a pure joy to sit in on some of my in-laws discussions. A couple years before I had returned from Vietnam a vocal anti-war person. I'd seen it, I had been in it and there was nothing redeeming about killing people we didn't even know, so they felt that I was on their side. I wasn't. I was, however, smart enough to keep that information to myself. It didn't help I was still the evil one that took their only daughter away from them and made no secret of the fact that I was not liked. Her mother was alright, but her father was a piece of work and one of those people that had nothing but contempt for the French in Quebec. History isn't usually very pretty!

There’s a YouTube streamer on day 4 of streaming nothing but him continuously riding the TTA PeopleMover, until he reaches 500 miles, which is about 482 rides…he’s a little under 200 rides right now…!!!!! :hilarious:
We love the attraction and I watched about 4 laps, just for grins, but couldn’t do it anymore…!!!!! 🤪😅
Even kookier, he had about 1K watching when I checked out…!!!!! 🙃🤣

I could ride it multiple times in a row, no problem, but 482 times? Nope.

Must be an AP.

I might be able to ride the Peoplemover for that long. I always thought it would be fun to ride the tea cups all day or ride it enough to get a Guiness record.

Yea, he’s local, but he never seems to go anywhere but MK.
He did an open to close PeopleMover stream a while back.
He will also set up near where the afternoon parade steps off in Frontierland, about 30-45 minutes beforehand. He’ll first stream it from there, then head to the top of MSUSA to catch it again, then haul it through Casey’s and the Emporium to catch it again in Town Square, just before it heads backstage.
Also, he’s completely and constantly obsessed with his subscription numbers.
There’s also other annoying stuff he does over and over and over again.
If he’s the only regular streamer live at the time, I’ll still watch him out of morbid curiosity for a few minutes, but I can’t take anymore than that. He’s just too much rinse and repeat.

Yeah, Ron isn't my favorite. When he first started, he was better, but he's become so repetitive. He also goes to watch the glass blower every time they're there, as well as the piano player outside of Casey's. It's very boring. If he's the only one there, I might have him on in the background, but I'm not paying attention.

He's obsessed with his subscriber count, because this is his full-time job. He started a year or two ago, and I remember him saying early that his wife gave him until August to get to, I believe, 20,000 subscribers, or he had to get a normal job. Well, he surpassed that, and he's one of the most popular streamers now. But I think that's because he's the only one who literally streams the equivalent of a 40+ hour work week. I believe he did 19 Halloween parties last year. Again, way too repetitive.

He also talks during rides, which I don't like. I imagine he's one of the annoying streamers to be seated in the same ride vehicle with. I like the down-to-earth streamers who don't take away from other guests' experiences. The main one is obviously ResortTV1. I also like Goo to You. They're quite strange and quirky, honestly, but I think they're funny. They also seem to be the most genuine people out there, who truly don't care about numbers or viewers. Their quality is usually good, and they do different things every stream. Again, they're definitely some odd ducks, but I enjoy them.

Outside of ResortTV1 and Goo to You, I enjoy other streamers, but they all have something I don't always care for. Very few of them are deal breakers for me watching them, but a little bit can go a long way with some of them.

I saw a reel the other day, a short clip from a Netflix series called A Man on the Inside, and thought it seemed worth checking out.

Well, tonight was the night. I ended up bingeing all eight episodes. I cried a little during each episode (except episode 3) and ugly cried multiple times during episode 6.

Each episode evoked various emotions, but at the end of each, I just felt so serene and content - not the right words, but they’ll do. Totally different than, but left me feeling the same as, Ted Lasso used to.

The cast was amazing, Ted Danson and Stephanie Beatriz (Mirabel from Ecanto/Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine) were particular standouts. Also fun to see numerous stars from the 70’s and 80’s.

If you’re looking for a two-hankie, feel-good binge, I highly recommend it. Season 2 has been confirmed.
