Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Forgot to share this ....
When I was at triage at the hospital, my blood pressure was very high, and my pulse was 130-something.
The nurse attributed it to overall discomfort.

Maybe.
Or ... maybe the last time I sat in this cubicle was when I brought my mother here with a sore back, and she croaked five hours later.

Whichever.
That must be the advantage of being dead inside like I am. When I was waiting to be told that I had cancer, I kind of knew it anyway, but, they checked my BP and Pulse and it was perfect. I guess I'm not overly excitable. Or I'm just to stupid to understand the possible consequences.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I used to be a lot more stoic, but the more personal losses I have experienced, and the closer I get to menopause, the less I am able to keep a firm grip on my inner emotions.

Better times ahead, my friend. For you too, I pray.

True, I guess, but, even though I'm only 67, I am much closer to the end then the middle so it becomes more of a matter of when and not if, like it is when one is younger. I can't help but feel the irony of the fact that I am in the best physical shape that I have been in for probably 20 years. I feel better, I am much more active and then they felt that they had to tell me this. It's kind of a kick in the gut. But, like with everything else I have faced in my life... I will deal with whatever I have too and keep my fingers crossed. My saintly demeanor should be helpful! :joyfull:

It was just me and my dad in the room when the doctor delivered his cancer news. I knew from her facial expression, tone of voice, and eventual tears, that his was life-ending cancer.
You've told us that you are in wait and see/monitor mode. That is much better news. Hopefully you have many years left ahead.

My wish is to not live too much longer than my health lasts.

Just finished Survivor: Micronesia! Kind of bittersweet, as it is my favorite season I've seen, leaping past Cagayan. Tons of great blindsides, tons of great drama, tons of great players, and tons of dumb moves! Not a boring episode or moment. Some of the best gameplay Survivor has seen, and some everlasting moments.

So now I'll update my list!

1. Parvati
2. Tony
3. Todd
4. Yul
5. Tom
6. Mike
7. Cochran
8. Richard Hatch
9. Earl
10. Tyson
11. Natalie
12. Aras
13. Jenna
14. Ethan
15. Tina
16. Danni
17. Amber
18. Chris
19. Sandra
20. Bryan
21. Vecepia

Parvati played the best game out of any of these players. All the hype I heard about her was lived up to in this season. She went past the flirt stage and became a dominating strategic player. With the help of her alliance, she was able to control the game from the Ozzy vote on.

My list of favorite players now goes as this:

Spencer, Boston Rob, Rupert, Rob Cesternino, Terry, Todd and Parvati. I feel like someone slipped my mind there. But it's weird how all of my favorite players are guys up until now. Carolyn is right on the edge, but I don't know if I could put her in there.

FYI - That "like" is because I appreciate your love of all things Survivor.
As to your "Most Deserving Winner" nonsense:

You have to admit, in terms of strategy and manipulation, she played it better than any Survivor before her. In terms of loyalty and not using people, she failed miserably. Good thing she wasn't going for that angle!

I can't really tell you why I don't like her.

I'm not petty enough to dislike another woman just because she's pretty. Case in point - Andrea and Brenda.

There's just something about her that irks me. Her and your other pal, Tony. :joyfull:

I hated Tony during Cagayan, too. But that was only because he was going against my favorite player Spencer.

Also, I'm loving watching players that I've already seen in other seasons. Erik was fun to watch, and far more naive than he was in Fans vs Favorites 2. I'm excited to see players like Andrea and Brenda, who also were in FvF 2, in their first seasons.

I am so busted.

I was in the living room watching the news and Son #2 was standing on the bottom step chatting with me.
He decides to blow his nose, and rather than using actual Kleenex from on top of the fridge two steps away, he decides to go up 8 stairs and use toilet paper. (This is the same kid who uses bread rather than hotdog buns, so I'm sensing a trend.)

Anyway, before he even blows his nose, he yells down to me, "So this is where all the good toilet paper is. I know where I'm taking my next (deleted)".

Yup, last week when I was particularly pi$$ed with everybody, I bought them the cheapest, scratchiest t.p. I could find; while buying even better than the regular good stuff (like supreme t.p., if you will) for mine and Hubby's bathroom.

It's like my dad always said - You mess with the bull, you get the horns!

Finding out why they were favorites!

Bad storms here early this morning - lots of trees down and many people are still without power. We had to go to a dr. appointment this morning and played Guess Whose Turn to go through the intersections, since the red lights were all out. Fun times....
