Tonight was a very successful night at MK!
We got there around 6:00 and walked right to Haunted Mansion for our LL. HM is my favorite ride. I love everything about it.
After HM, it was time to use our LL for Splash. But first I stopped at a gift shop to grab a park map... to use as a shield so my glasses didn't get wet on Splash. My biggest pet peeve is having wet glasses. Especially the dingy WDW ride water that leaves a film that's impossible to get off. And you know what? The map did the trick.
After Splash it was almost time for our Pirates LL, but not quite yet. So we headed to Country Bears and had a rootin', tootin' good time. Then we did Pirates.
After Pirates we contemplated treats at Aloha Isle, but the line was insane. So we went to walk the Treehouse instead. By the time we got down from the Tree house, we had decided the treats were worth the wait. We went to Aloha Isle, but the line went pretty quickly.
I'm not a huge pineapple fan, so I went to Sunshine Tree Terrace for the orange float. While in a line that took WAY too long for its length, I looked at the menu online and decided to get the Sparkling Sunshine 50th dessert instead. It's the orange and vanilla swirl with sparkling apple cider inside a champagne glass. It was really good. I highly recommend it to anyone who is down here in time.
Before desserts I had made a LL for The Little Mermaid. The ride was down when our LL started, so we got a multiple experiences pass that we used on Big Thunder. Quite the upgrade, huh?
After Big Thunder we did a semi-quick walk across the park for our Space LL since we were running out of time for it. We were getting so many LLs that it made it hard to get to all of them on time! But more on that in a future post.
After Space we did one last LL at Buzz. I thought I had gotten SOOOOO close to maxing out my score for the first time... 999,300. Except then I realize I misread the number. It was really 99,300. Yikes.
Then we did another quick, but not fast walk out of the park to get out ahead of the fireworks crowds. They started as we were walking through the turnstiles.
Now we are back at the hotel for our last night at French Quarter. Tomorrow morning we have AK. We'll only spend a few hours there because we have to check in at POR and hope our room is ready to drop our luggage off. We have to leave around 2:30 to pick up my mom, brother, and his fiancee from the airport. Then the plan is MK again at night.
